Conversations with Meryl Klemow

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meryl Klemow

Hi Meryl, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always had a knack for reinvention. I cut my teeth in the music industry, which was an incredible experience. In 2016, I pivoted to podcasting. There’s something magical about connecting with listeners through audio storytelling, and I was hooked. From there, it was a natural leap to radio, where I could blend my love for music with my newfound passion for being on-air.

Just before the world turned upside down in 2020, I decided to dive into comedy. Talk about timing!

Throughout these transitions, I’ve learned that versatility is key in the ever-evolving media landscape. Each new venture has added a unique dimension to my skill set and kept me on my toes. So what’s next? Who knows! But I’m always ready for the next adventure.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges was reinventing myself with each career shift. Going from music to podcasting, then to radio and comedy – each transition meant starting somewhat from scratch. Building new networks, learning new skills, and proving myself all over again wasn’t easy.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I always hear from my clients that the work we do together is both fulfilling and fun, so that is a huge compliment!

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Follow through, being tuned into your own vision, and nice manners!
