Conversations with Marshella Griffin-Larry a.k.a Marshella Muzic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marshella Griffin-Larry a.k.a Marshella Muzic.

Hi Marshella, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a Los Angeles based Singer-Songwriter and Actress. Music has always been part of my DNA.

My dream has always been to write, arrange, perform and put out a solo project but like many people, fear and life got the best of me.

It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer that I really realized how short life was.

Now that I am cancer-free, Remission means something completely different to me.

For me, reMISSION means to put fear aside and walk-in purpose, pursuing all that this world has to offer.

We are here for a short time so it’s important to embrace all of our God-given gifts and talents to use for God’s glory.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. As I mentioned before, I am a Breast Cancer Survivor but I also went through a bad divorce and had a stroke.

Those things can break some people completely, but my faith kept me strong.

We have all had struggles and will continue to have them. No one is exempt. The key is how you deal with your struggles.

Keeping a positive attitude, praying and knowing who is really in control of my life is what has truly got me through all of the storms in my life.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My name is Marshella Griffin-Larry, known as Marshella Muzic. I am a Singer-Songwriter and Actress from Bloomington Indiana but I currently reside in Los Angeles, CA.

My vocal style can be described as RnB/Soul and Smooth Jazz with a mix of many other genres. I love textured harmonies and smooth melodies that will transport you to another space and time.

“Moodz” is my first solo project that is available on all digital platforms as well as on my website at Marshellamuzic.com.

I am so very proud of this music. Writing these songs was very therapeutic for me.

Being quarantined during this pandemic really helped me to sit back and reflect on all that I have been through in my life.

I am so proud of this project and proud of myself for practicing Faith over Fear. I have learned through my trials and tribulations that whatever your dreams are in life, you should just do them.

Put those check marks on your bucket list! You will be so happy you did.

We are all blessed to be able to live this life and all that comes with it. The good and bad.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in good or bad luck. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that ultimately, what is FOR YOU is FOR YOU.

Our lives are already planned out for us. It is up to us to cultivate our gifts and be tuned in to where God is leading us.
