Conversations with Logic Banks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Logic Banks.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Name Oscar Jason Chavez, Nickname: Logic Banks

My love for gaming started as a child. I have a cousin that is older than me by four years who was always gaming. At the age of seven, I already wanted to start playing because I would see how excited he would be to play video games. I never really understood video games until I got a lot older. My love for gaming started early but had no idea how far it would take me in life because at that time there was no “job opportunities” as a career. Fast forward to 2017-2019, I was playing a very unpopular game at the time called “Fortnite” and I know my college friends and girlfriend at the time thought I was childish and too old to be playing video games. A year later, it became the biggest game and it was all over social media. It sucked to feel like people looked at me differently because of that but I never really cared. I believe gaming can have a lot of positive effects for young and older people’s mental health. In ways, it gives your mind an activity to do for a few hours and also socialize with people that may be having the same issues as you or has gone through something similar in life. It’s always good to meet people around the world.

After graduating in 2020 with a BA in Criminology and Psychology, sadly classes were cut short, sent home early to finish school and was not able to walk on stage because of the pandemic beginning. Little did I know a few months later my life and career path would change. I started streaming on Twitch off my Xbox Console and 50-inch Tv, not knowing anything about the industry. I worked my way up, building my community, networking and changing people’s lives as months went by. I fell in love with not just the gaming but the fact that some kids/adults would tell me how much help my advice has helped them in their daily life while streaming. My supporters would tune in every day to vibe out and tune in to anything I had planned on stream that day.

None of this would be possible if it wasn’t for the support of my community. Even my equipment for streaming has upgraded throughout the two years and now have three gaming PC’s and four monitors, and three cameras. When I had just originally started with an Xbox and a TV. So to anyone whos thinking of getting into this industry it’s possible I started From nothing and no one believed in me. To now starting to live a dream, a small part of the dream. We are just getting started!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been bumpy! I have had my ups and my downs. Alot of trial and error everything I know and have built has been self-made. I take pride in knowing I came into all this on my own and have figured it out on my own there has been no handouts but I do thank the people that have tried to help or supported me from the start, especially my Mom! There’s been a lot of doubt in the process, I’ll never forget my first day of content creation in my room my cousins laughed and said I wouldn’t make it. Old friends said what I was thinking, this content-creating industry won’t last.

Not only has there been doubt from others but in the process I’ve had self-doubt. When I get into self-doubt it gets hard cause I question so much… Anyone knows that building a brand, the hardest part is when you feel like you’re doing everything and still not getting the results you need. What keeps me going is my family and the supporters that tell me they come to watch my streams or content to bring light to their day. I don’t say it much but I chase the dream to bring a positive impact In this world to the people that feel they have no one they Got me… Logic Banks!

So yes the struggles are real but the marathon continues!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a gaming content creator and influencer for YouTube and Twitch. I am mainly known for gaming but now slowly turning into just IRL content.

I am most proud of making nothing into something. I finally have a brand to build and my supporters believe in me!

I think what sets me apart is my personality I am who I am and won’t change for anyone: I have an obsessive work ethic and I don’t stop even after I reach my goals. I come with Respect and Confidence!

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
We only live once, why not take that risk that can change your life forever? Tomorrow is not promised; take the risk now. I believe we all have to take risks in life, no matter what journey we take. We just have to make the best of what we risk things on. I have taken a lot of major risks. One of them is changing my career path after college and becoming an influencer. No one believes in it but myself. My parents are old school and believe in a stable 9-5, so I didn’t have much of their support in the beginning.

That’s a major risk I took to change my path. But I will always gamble on myself, I know I’m special just need to keep going. Other small risk I’ve taken is maybe spending money on tools and equipment that cost a lot, but I know an investment in my content can be a bigger reward in the long wrong as well.

Invest in yourself; that’s the biggest risk we should all take.
