Hi Krystyna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
Hello, we are Asia and Kristina, the DJ duo known as MASOUL. 

Our journey began in 2019 in Ukraine, fueled by our shared passion and love for music. Inspired to create MASOUL, we explored various electronic music genres such as progressive house, melodic techno, and indie dance. Starting in small clubs, we were noticed by event organizers who offered us residencies at numerous parties. MASOUL gained momentum, playing at popular events and gradually expanding onto the international stage, performing in Germany, Austria, Spain, Egypt, Jordan, and beyond. 

Our talent and energy were recognized as our audience grew, and we received invitations to play sets on various radio stations. Transitioning into production, we started crafting tracks and releasing them on prominent labels. Currently based in Los Angeles, we continue to thrive, performing at outstanding venues and working on a new album featuring collaborations with Ukrainian vocalists and renowned DJs. 

Our track “Breath” with Ukrainian vocalist Kseniya Bridge held the top spot on Beatport’s global chart for an extended period. We take pride in showcasing Ukrainian creativity in the electronic music format, and our upcoming set on an Ibiza radio station is something to look forward to. 

As we delve into YouTube, our channel’s growth is humbling, and we appreciate the support from everyone who has joined our journey. MASOUL is about energy—an energy we aim to infuse into crowds, conveying the idea that we are all connected through our music.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While our journey has overall been swift, diving into the world of DJing posed its challenges. Learning the craft is no easy feat, given the intense competition. Trends evolve, audiences refine their tastes, and technology advances. As we climbed higher, the path became more demanding. Yet, these challenges only strengthened our resolve. When you truly love what you do, the hurdles become steppingstones, and the passion propels you forward. We can’t imagine ourselves without this journey, embracing both the triumphs and the tests along the way. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
MASOUL, comprised of Asya and Kristina, is a dynamic DJ duo specializing in various electronic music genres such as progressive house, melodic techno, and indie dance. Our journey began in 2019 in Ukraine, and since then, we’ve become known for our energetic performances and the ability to connect with diverse audiences. 

We take pride in our international presence, having performed in Germany, Austria, Spain, Egypt, Jordan, and more. What sets us apart is not just our music but our commitment to showcasing the beauty of Ukrainian creativity in the electronic music landscape. 

One of our significant achievements is the success of our track “Breath” with Ukrainian vocalist Kseniya Bridge, which claimed the top spot on Beatport’s global chart. What was your favorite childhood memory?
Kristina: My favorite childhood memory is creating epic home concerts when my parents weren’t around. Singing and dancing made it the best feeling in the world. 

Asia: My fondest memory revolves around my upbringing, with my parents, especially my grandmother, supporting my singing talent. It’s a vivid and cherished part of my childhood.
