Today, we’d like to introduce you to Kahlia Meeks.
Kahlia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Greetings to all readers. I am honored and elated to be interviewed by Canvas Rebel/VoyageLA again.
I’d like to commence this interview by acknowledging how mind-blowing it is that we have collaborated collectively for five years. Because of our collaboration/partnership, a multitude of doors and roads have opened in all realms of my life! I’m privileged that we can resume and share our evolved dialogues.
From creation and throughout my life, my designed mission and purpose have been to serve others in need within the capacities of my birthright and life experiences. When I began my companies and domestic/international for-profit and non-profit endeavors, I worked in corporate America with a background in information technology, legal, insurance, governance, risk, and compliance.
Prior to being employed in corporate America, I worked as a healthcare practitioner in palliative care, dialysis patient care, and many other one-on-one encounters with individuals needing healthcare treatment. I made the decision to start serving individuals and their mental well-being independently in 2017. I saw several deficiencies occurring within the world (and within myself) that were and still are inevitable markers for failure.
With the discovery of a plethora of deficiencies, I made the decision to take my motivational speaking and teaching to the multitudes of people within our shared global society who can relate to my perspectives and thought processes. Because of the bold decision to make serving humanity my life’s focus, I’ve been afforded outstanding opportunities with some marvelous people and organizations.
I simultaneously work on my businesses and global works to remain consistent in spreading how to manifest your destiny and address self-deficiencies while using personal growth and development as the solution to attain what is waiting for us in the vast world we share. Through my personal endeavors, making connections, writing and publishing my first book, speaking at different events, and my need to help people have always been at the forefront of my existence.
Discovering how to help and serve others was a challenge for me. As a child, I aspired to become a Scientist, Medical Doctor, or Attorney. I decided to attend school to become a criminal attorney. While completing pre-law courses, my moral compass was triggering me to change professions. Becoming either a defense or prosecuting attorney would have given me the power to assist in deciding the fate of the lives of others.
I honestly did not know how I could live peacefully defending someone that I knew was guilty and prosecuting someone that I knew was innocent. This decision allowed me to pursue a career in healthcare. However, healthcare was a bittersweet profession for me due to witnessing sickness and death on a near-daily basis. I treasure the fortunate gift and ability to help so many amazing souls. The conscious and strategic decisions I’ve made have allowed me to fully focus on helping people in different scopes.
I’ve arrived where I am in business because I refused to be complacent with the norms placed on individuals within society, which limit progress and create self-doubt and self-limiting beliefs that affect the mental, spiritual, physical, financial, familial ties and relationships that individuals have with people, places, and things.
To bear the fruits of the seeds that I have planted for decades, I had to be realistic about the strategies I had to make for my individual success goals. Learning that patience, accountability, faith, and self-knowing are what allow the seeds that I (we) plant to grow had to exist to bear the fruit.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The “business road” and balancing along with life was not smooth at first until I learned and applied the methodology of silver lining. When we – Canvas Rebel and Voyage magazine – last interviewed together, I had gone through a traumatic health experience.
The incident was unexpected. Who expects to go through trauma? Realistically, no one, and I went through a trauma that changed and shifted my life in many ways. The incident shifted me emotionally. It shifted me physically. It shifted me psychologically. It shifted me spiritually in extremely positive ways. I fought to keep myself and my organizations, which I envisioned into reality, alive. While I was working on the article for Canvas Rebel, I was emaciated, malnourished, and extremely ill.
Despite being hospitalized for months in and months out, I pushed through all I was experiencing in life to perform the interview. I’m not a quitter and never will be defeated. I had to fight with myself, and I won. When challenges come into life, find a solution – whether it be sharing your life’s past and present for help from a life coach, psychologist, therapist, religious or spiritual leader, or any professional who can help get you through your respective processes.
Through it all, I made it through because of The Creator of life and my vigilant decision to grow and personally develop my mind’s willingness to work in sync with my body to function better than it did prior to my traumatic health incident caused by distracted hands and minds of others. I persevered over the rocky, rugged roads of life, and through time and over-standing, the road got smoother. I surrendered to fate and karma and learned the whys of my life’s situations.
Tenacity, drive, and self-will gave me the strength to maintain and grow my organization. I share and demonstrate how it is to go through life and still manifest your destiny. I gained knowledge and wisdom and testament for it all to become a testimony. Life will throw you some serious curve balls. I recommend taking that curve ball after you catch it and holding it while making sure that when you throw it back, it’s in a straight line so it can never come back to you.

Thank you for wanting to learn more about my work and specialized expertise regarding what I’m known for publicly and professionally. I’ll also open up and share what I’m most proud of, along with what sets me apart from others.
I own a business named Illustrious Consultants, which works with government agencies and private companies. I cultivate relationships with government agencies, private organizations, and vendors to provide Information Technology Cybersecurity solutions, staffing, defense contracting, risk management, compliance, construction, staffing, and governance solutions. Additionally, my organization, Kahlia Meeks Enterprises, is a labor of love dedicated to teaching and learning individuals how to manifest their destinies by using their newfound personal growth to manifest what’s destined for their life’s paths.
I’m a practicing certified life coach and a published author of a book named, “Manifest Your Destiny: Use Your Personal Growth to Manifest What’s Destined for Your Life’s Path.” I also have a podcast named “KAHLIA SE$$IONS,” – which is available on a multitude of podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Listen Notes, and more); plus, the works stated in the latter, I perform altruistic global humanitarian, holistic, and natural health and beauty remedies, and global sustainability works independently and with fantastic individuals from organizations throughout the world.
With so many priorities in constant motion, I continue to specialize in public speaking and create content on the internet for individuals about life and the multiple facets of manifestation. It is fulfilling to assist in being a catalyst who helps people change their mindsets and ways of being to evolve into a better person and add to humanity’s needs.
My differentiator sets me apart from many others practicing in similar capacities as I speak of personal experiences and situations I’ve witnessed and provide my perspective to prevent people from making the errors I created and overcame in the past. This affords individuals not to repeat cycles that warrant extreme change while encouraging self-improvement. Although I won’t reveal my differentiator, I can proudly say that everything I speak of is factual and truthful.
My audiences throughout the years have ranged from children, adults, different ethnicities, cultures, religious and spiritual belief systems, professions, and genders. I’m grateful for a vast audience and those across the globe that I’m connected with due to my teachings, human advocacy for healthcare (mentally and physically) with a holistic approach, and all speaking engagements where I have the opportunity to speak of topics which result in outcomes of self-excellency. All the dedication I use to commit to grand causes comes from my heart, soul, and positive spirit.
I’m a great person and soul who refuses to be defined by man but rather by the works that I do and how I treat myself, which translates into how I treat others. The mission I’ve created is legacy-based, and I will keep my family’s name and honor alive after I depart this Earth.
Ultimately, how we treat others is a direct reflection of how we view and treat ourselves. The goal and objective of Kahlia Meeks Enterprises is to be consistent with self-betterment versus attempting to seek self-perfection.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson that I’ve learned on my journey is to require reciprocity and to stand firm on set boundaries. As social beings, we must look out for each other. The same level of love that someone shares with you must be reciprocated. Demonstrate with a pure and genuine heart that an equal level of love exists. I’ve had to separate myself from many individuals who are incapable of giving/sharing the love I exuded. I advise readers to do the same during their respective life journeys as much as necessary until reciprocity is returned.
Inner work is the key to having a life of success and continuous growth. I speak from example, experience, testimony, and testament. Going inward and self-reflecting will allow one to begin taking full accountability for all decisions surrounding life’s never-ending journey. Find your differentiator in any industry or because you decide to choose for the fruitful life you’re constructing. No industry is saturated once you know who you are and what makes you uniquely special in your contributions to the world and the people therein it.
