Today we’d like to introduce you to Jude Yap
Hi Jude, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m Jude Yap, born and raised in Manila, Philippines. I’m currently in Los Angeles and I run FROMFLOWERS full time. I started the brand as a way to reconnect with my roots. The brand name is derived from the flower-named streets of my hometown neighborhood. Daffodils, Iris, Dahlia… you get the vibes.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My struggles are usually mental.
Not letting doubt and insecurities cloud my judgement.
Things still get rocky, but I learned to just ride the wave. Staying off social media helps a lot.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m behind FROMFLOWERS, I make things that spark conversations about my background and the things I love.
We currently have two capsules out: “Bouquet” and our latest release “Florist”.
Florist is about having an identity, not being easily swayed by what the world around you says, and trusting yourself.
How do you define success?
my mom chillin back home and not having to work anymore.
