Today we’d like to introduce you to Fiona Hillery.
Hi Fiona, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my intuitive practice in my mid-twenties, right around the time life handed me a classic dark night of the soul. Astrology and tarot became my lifelines, allowing me to zoom out and see my life from a higher perspective for self growth. I went deep into study, working with mentors and immersing myself in esoteric traditions, while balancing a fast-paced media career in New York.
At some point, the universe conspired to out me. My boss found out about my “secret life” and encouraged me to be more open with my passion. I started writing and speaking about spiritual tools, and offering friendly readings to colleagues. Word spread fast, as the work seemed to resonate and help guide others to growth. Before I knew it, I had a growing business reading for private clients, hosting events, and consulting companies on integrating intuition into leadership.
It all happened pretty organically. I like to say esoteric empowerment kind of birthed itself!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When you’re on a spiritual path you’re always forced deeper into your work. The road has been synchronistic, but not always roses. Specifically, when you’re working with intuition energetic hygiene is mandatory. As I’ve held larger group containers and 1×1 sessions, I’ve had to be impeccable about protection practices. I’ve learned reiki techniques and visualizations to upkeep the volume of sessions without feeling fatigued.
Online, I’ve also encountered my fair share of trolls and fake accounts impersonating my work. This is par for the course unfortunately!

My practice grounds the esoteric into everyday empowerment, merging a decade-long career in business with deeply studied spiritual insight. That fusion of strategy and soul is what makes my work distinct. I help people realign with their own inner compass and roadmap their path forward with astrology and tarot.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My therapist Raina Murphy prompted me to learn astrology during the aforementioned “dark night” era in my twenties. We unpacked my chart elements in conjunction with her psychological support, providing strong foundation for self awareness and application. Natalie Clark, a trained Glastonbury witch, also provided powerful mentorship with tarot and is now a dear friend!
