How did you come up with the idea for your free masterclass on teaching influencers how to make money online?
My friends, my followers, and even my family always asked me for tips on social media like for instance, how do I manage to get brand deals, how do I get to stay at the best hotels with everything included, how I edit, which programs I use, how I get my pictures to look the way to do, etc. so after giving free advice for almost four years, I decided to putt all these amazing valuable information in one place which is my course, but before people buy it, I want them to have my free masterclass where I teach how to make a full-time income on social media and see if this is something they really want to do.
What inspired you to create a masterclass specifically tailored for influencers?
I feel like I’ve always followed my dreams, no matter how crazy they are, and I know many people out there that they are so afraid to do what they really love. So with my masterclass, I hope to inspire people to do what they love and make a living out of it.
Can you share a bit about your own journey as an influencer and how it led you to create this masterclass?
It all started in LA when I was working as an entertainment TV host. It was imperative to have social media and constantly post my interviews, premiers I cover, or awards like the Oscars, Grammys Golden Globes. It took me a while to understand the power of social media, but after I master that, I decided to share my knowledge with the world because if I’m able to make a full-time income out of social media and do what I love, you can do it too.
What are some common challenges that influencers face when it comes to monetizing their online presence?
The very first thing people usually skip is defining their niche. Without defining your niche, your content is going to be confusing for you and confusing for your audience, which will put you in a position of losing hundreds of brand deals.
In your masterclass, what are some of the key strategies you teach influencers to successfully make money online?
I teach them how to find their niche, how to land a brand deal, the importance of having a media kit, and how to collaborate with other influencers; I also teach them that it is never too late to start a full-time income from social media.
What are some of the biggest misconceptions or myths surrounding influencers and making money online?
The myth is that you need millions of followers to make a substantial income on Instagram and Facebook, I don’t have millions of followers, and yet a make a full-time income out of it and travel the world. The belief that social media is a waste of time, I believe if you use it for learning purposes or to make a living, it is very worthy. You don’t need expensive equipment to start; all you need is an iPhone.
Can you give us a sneak peek into some of the valuable lessons or modules covered in your course?
In module 1, I teach everything about mindset limiting belief and meditation. I believe on module 2, I teach how to be confident in front of the camera, storytelling, how to record yourself, and how to create your studio at home without spending thousands of dollars. Module 3, everything about monetization this one is the number one module of my course, I think haahah. Module 4 has different revenue streams. Module 5 is all about business owners and how to create an online presence. Module 6 is all about tech how to edit on Premier, final cut, Davinci Resolve, Capcut, and Lightroom, and module 7 interviews with successful content creators.
What are some common mistakes or pitfalls that influencers should avoid when trying to monetize their online presence?
Lack of authenticity, Inconsistent posting, ignoring engagement, overlooking analytics, Poor content planning, Ineffective collaboration strategies, and Mismanaged brand partnerships.
In your course, do you cover the process of creating and selling digital products for influencers? Yes, I do. In fact, that is part of the module on how to get different revenue streams.
Can you share any tips on how influencers can effectively collaborate with brands to maximize their earnings?
The first tip is to have a niche and second, create a media key to make you look professional and stand out from the rest.
What are some strategies you teach influencers to create sponsored content that resonates with their audience?
To be honest, besides teaching them how to record content and edited, I always tell them to be authentic and real and to be themselves; if they are not themselves, the audience can perceive that on camera.
How do you address the balance between maintaining authenticity as an influencer and making money online?
By being yourself, being creative, and being unique.
Can you share any advice on creating compelling sponsored content that aligns with an influencer’s values?
The first thing I will say is to work with brands you admire, with brands that align with your essence. I know it can be tempting to say yes to everything because when you first start, you want to get paid, but in the long run, this may affect your online presence since your audience is going to notice you just promote every single brand and at the end, they may not believe that you truly love that product or brand.
How do you help influencers overcome self-doubt and imposter syndrome when it comes to making money online?
Ohhh, I love this one because I had to work hard myself on this… well mindset and limiting belief module will be a great start to overcome fears, doubts, and the imposter syndrome.
Can you share any insights on the mindset shifts influencers need to make in order to embrace their financial potential?
Yes, of course, my number one tool is meditation and visualization. I practice Vipassana meditation for 15 years and that helps me with my confidence and to be present. Visualization and dream boards help me to accomplish my goals in a time frame and I teach all this step by step on module 1.
What are some tips you offer influencers on effectively managing their time and resources for maximum productivity?
Ohhhh, this is great. Well in my case, I had to quit a lot of things in my life to get to where I’m today, one of them was I stopped saying yes to every single event that didn’t align with my brand or contribute to my social media growth. I stopped saying yes to all my friends’ invitations to prioritize my career as a content creator, so I allow myself just to have fun on the weekends, and I still do that. I also learn to set boundaries with brand collaborations, meaning that Instead of accepting gifts that came with expectations of extensive content creation, I started collaborating on a gift basis with limited content requirements.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m so happy to talk about my new baby, which is my online course called “Monetize your influence and content” that helps content creators, upcoming influencers & businesses successfully monetize their social media, get brand deals and brand awareness with an online course that has all the secrets and tools to become a pro in the industry in 6 months.
In the past, I was an actor and a TV host, and it was an amazing ride; however, I love creating content and teaching influencers how to make money on social media and travel the world just like I’m doing since 2020
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in Cali-Colombia and I moved alone to New York when I was 18; then I lived in Mexico for a while, Los Angeles and Miami. Growing up in Colombia was amazing; I think I’m who I’m today because of the way I grew up. My culture is very family oriented and in my family always taught me that I should follow my dreams, no matter how crazy they were. My mother was always next to me, taking me to my castings, auditions, and photo shoots, and she was always very supportive of my career until today.
