Today we’d like to introduce you to Derek Walker.
Hi Derek, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been a chef for 20 years. I have worked at some of the top fine dining restaurants in Los Angeles. I opened my first restaurant in 2017.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I developed a culinary training program that worked with ex-cons, previously homeless, rehabilitated drug addicts and veterans suffering from PTSD. I instructed over 1200 students over 10yrs. I won Chopped on Food Network. I am known for my Asian and Latin fusion using classical French techniques.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love Los Angeles’ amazing cuisine! Best Korean, Armenian, Filipino, Mexican, ect foods in the world, second only to possibly the country of origin. Our access to superior ingredients!
I hate the traffic.
