Conversations with Dean Lemon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dean Lemon.

Hi Dean, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are The Lemon Family, a British family of 4 that has recently moved from England, UK, to Los Angeles, California. Moving to Los Angeles has always been a dream of ours, but became a reality earlier this year after we were approved for the E1 Visa, which enables us to live and work in America for 5 years, which will renew every 5 years. The E1 Visa is linked to our busines “The Social Lemon”, which is a business we launched in our UK home 5 years ago, which has since now become a global business with teams in London UK and now Los Angeles California. We help content creators, celebrities and public figures grow and monetise their online presence on platforms such Facebook, Snapchat & YouTube. We’re incredibly fortunate to work with some of the biggest creators in the world. Most of all, this business has enabled us to live our dream of moving to LA, which was a dream both of us shared prior to meeting 10+ years ago when we both younger and musicians touring and playing music across the UK. Since moving here, we decide to go back to our msuic & content roots and have begun making music again and making content, which is what led you guys to find us, via our content on our family account.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never been a smooth journey; we’ve had difficulties like most, but we believe we’re on a journey that’s been planned out by god and our loved ones, and we couldn’t feel more fortunate and lucky to be on this journey and to be living our dream with our amazing children.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We’re business owners, but also musicians and content creators. We’re making family content documenting our journey of moving from England UK to LA, as well as documenting videos about our company, The Social Lemon.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
The biggest bit of advice we could ever give out is to just start. Whatever it is, you just need to start. It doesn’t matter if it’s the biggest or the best thing in the world at the beginning, but as long as you love it and you stay consistent – you can do it.
