Today we’d like to introduce you to Cort King.

Hi Cort, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a professional actor, musician and performance artist from Atlanta. i’ve been living in LA for 11 years now. I moved to LA with the goal in mind to take my acting career to the next level. Along the way I’ve been fortunate enough to book some pretty big jobs: I’ve starred in national commercials for Ford, Toyota, & Reese’s. I’ve sarred in movies & television shows on networks CBS, BET, & OWN Network. Recently I’ve released my first album as an independent singer/songwriter: “K!NGS T!NGS: SUMMER N!GHTS !N EUROPE”, with another album projected to be released January 1st.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Just the ever tough road of being a professional artist, some set backs, some slow times, but also a lot of exciting victories!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in acting in films, television, theatre, and commercials.
Musically I specialize in Afrobeat/R&B, with a heavy party vibe.
I proud of any & everything I’ve ever been apart of artistically. What sets me apart from others is my look & my sound, plus my gravitas.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I believe more in manifestation & destiny than luck. But to be a successful artist it will require a little luck.
