Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Scerbo.
Hi Cassandra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in the entertainment industry professionally since age 10. While entertainment is my passion, activism is my purpose.
I got approached over a decade ago to be an Ambassador for Boo2Bullying and fell in love with everything the organization stands for. From there, I worked my way up to West Coast Executive Director and then was promoted to Vice President at age 25.
Our organization has grown so much in the past decade offering programs overseas and producing new pilot programs such as C.A.P.E. Nation created for students K-3 as well as an animation we currently completed with DaniMation which premiered at Comic-Con San Diego.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have learned and grown so much along the way. It definitely hasn’t been easy but with each challenge we’ve faced, we took everything we learned to become more successful moving forward. I feel that with passion and commitment anything and everything is possible.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have been acting professionally since age 10. Some shows and movies you may possibly recognize me from are ABC Family’s “Make It Or Break It” where I played Lauren Tanner, “Bring it On In it to Win it” where I played Brooke, the “Sharknado” franchise where I played Nova, “Truth or Dare” where I played Alex amongst other projects.
I’m proud of every role I’ve played as I truly put my heart into every project. They are all so meaningful for copious reasons. I’ve had the pleasure of learning from incredible artists along the way. When I’m on set, I’m truly my happiest and I couldn’t be grateful to do what I love most for a living.
What do you think about happiness?
Purpose. Having a purpose is the most fulfilling feeling in the world for me. To know I’m touching others in my film projects or helping alter lives for the better in my charity work truly makes my world go ‘round. That and family! I’m a huge family person. Creating memories with my beautiful family is at the top of my list.
