Today we’d like to introduce you to Brinda Bhatt.

Brinda Bhatt

Hi Brinda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in India. My parents immigrated to the USA in 1974. I grew up in New Jersey moving around a few times as my parents earned more. Being curious all the time and a desire to learn, I actively tried and played sports. I excelled at Lacrosse and played Division 1 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse at Rutgers University. After graduating with a double major in Political Science and Communications, I went on and earned a Juris Doctor degree at the New England School of Law. Having done a sports agent internship at Woolf Associates during Law School, I gained more interest in Sports and Entertainment. After doing research about this career path, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a Talent Agent at United Talent Agency for over a decade and then ultimately became a Partner/Talent Manager and producer with Artistry Collective, representing top talent across all mediums of film, television, streaming, and stage and executive producing a client’s one-hour comedy special.

I recently transitioned into Real Estate as an agent with the Marc Hernandez Group at Compass in Beverly Hills, California. As I reflect, I was exposed to real estate when I was young as I saw my parents buy, sell, and invest as they accumulated income. I love talking to and helping people. As an agent, I am at the forefront of helping clients find their dream homes, make strategic investments, or embark on new chapters in their lives. It’s a profession that constantly challenges me with unique properties, diverse clients, and ever-changing market dynamics. The sense of accomplishment that comes from successfully connecting a client with their ideal property and the satisfaction of facilitating a smooth transaction is truly rewarding. It is a win-win for my client and myself! Moreover, the flexibility of the job and the potential for financial success make it an enticing career choice as I thrive in a dynamic and people-oriented field.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road, but hey, that’s how life is. There were plenty of struggles along the way from clients being unhappy and moving onto another agent to navigating through the cutthroat nature and internal politics of working at a big talent agency. To me, resilience is not a fixed trait. It can be cultivated and improved throughout one’s life through a combination of factors. I have faced a tremendous amount of adversity and use my problem solving and coping skills to successfully navigate difficult situations. I also work on having a positive mindset and routine to help with overcoming the bumps in this life path.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Real Estate Agent at The Marc Hernandez Group / Compass Beverly Hills. Having been in the entertainment business for over 15 years, I have a keen eye for talent, and I bring persistence, constructive communication, negotiation, and client service skills to my real estate business. I love helping people achieve their dreams and I am great at connecting people through my professional and personal network. I stay up-to-date with the latest market data, pricing trends, and inventory which allows me to provide valuable insights and guidance to my clients. I am committed and provide honest advice throughout the process to achieve the best possible outcomes. To me, advocating my client’s best interests, professionalism, follow-up, and being committed to exceptional service help set me apart from others.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of my first bosses in the entertainment business said to me, “Don’t let other people’s panic become yours.” That stuck with me, and I have continued to practice that in all that I do. In addition, the power of continuous learning and adaptation since it is a rapidly evolving professional landscape. I feel it is crucial to embrace a growth mindset and be open to acquiring new skills, knowledge, and perspectives. The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, technologies, and market conditions allows me to stay relevant and to keep thriving.
