Today we’d like to introduce you to Bardia Seiri
Hi Bardia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Bardia Seiri.
I was born in Tehran, Iran and my family and I moved to the US when I was 4 years old. I have been raised in Santa Clarita, CA.
My father was an actor and I, as a child, always wanted to do what my dad was doing. I started appearing in TV commercials at age 1 but as I grew older and worked more jobs, I realized that I am really interested in acting to the extent that I was motivated to compete with my dad.
When we came to the US, I already knew what I wanted to be. Here was the dreamland for my wish and at that age, I wanted to get to that point to get an Oscar and have a star on Hollywood Blvd and make my parents especially my dad proud because he sacrificed his life and career for me to become the fuel of my shuttle.
Along with the acting, I am also very interested in Directing and Making films as well and I am actively pursuing it. I am taking my Video production classes very seriously and so far 2 of my short movies and PSA clips have been recognized and awarded by local organizations.
Looking back at my childhood dreams, I am looking forward to the days that they become fully true.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entertainment industry is very competitive and there are so many talents out there trying their best. So , to stand out from this excited and artist crowd, you have to stay consistent and try hard and be resilient.
This job comes with a lot of emotions especially when you don’t get a job you really wanted but I stay on the positive side.
Also, at my age, I still have to make a balance between my school and work which sometimes is hard. Especially for me that have chosen not to be homeschooled and I love the friendship and experience of high school.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Before my leading role in the movie “Incoming” on Netflix, I have worked in numerous commercials, quite a few short movies and TV shows but what I remember as the very first taste of Hollywood was when I started working in Grey’s Anatomy on season 14 back in 2017. It was a professional experience at another level for me compared to my previous jobs that helped me grow a lot.
And now, here I am with my first lead role in the movie Incoming that will be on Netflix on Aug 23rd.
It took me so many auditions, callbacks, being pinned and released, rejections, and literally 16 years of consistently trying to get to this point. I am very excited about it and the future but I feel I am still at the beginning of this road now.
What are your plans for the future?
My current plans are to branch out into new projects, both in acting and directing.
Also I am looking forward to going to University after high-school.
