Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Strzelecki.
Amanda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Amanda Jo Strezelecki, but my friends and family just call me Jo. I’m a 34 year young Missouri girl, born and raised. I have an older sister and younger brother and we’re all scattered across different states. After graduating high school in MO, I made the big move out west to Golden State after being accepting at CSUN. From there I studied Sports Journalism at Pierce College. After being a rolling stone for a while I finally planted my roots seven years ago in Palmdale, Ca. I live here with the love of my life and our two amazing boys!
After my second son was born, I decided to become a certified personal trainer. Two years later I was certified with ISSA as Personal Trainer, Transformation Specialist, Nutritionist and Glute Specialist as well as a Herbalife Coach. I do all this while still maintaining a full-time job with a company that I’ve been with since I first ventured out here. The journey into fitness and nutrition has had me cross paths with incredible individuals and entrepreneurs that I’ve made lifelong friendships with. I’ve looked up to role models like Kobe Bryant and Paul Walker since high school. These two have been major inspirations for me to never give up and never quit, I live by the rule, “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable if you want to be successful!”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve learned not to take challenges to heart or struggles to personal. This is part of being an entrepreneur, motivation and mentor to helping change other’s lives. I am not one size fits all and it took me a while to understand and embrace when a client changes direction.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an ISSA-certified personal trainer, glute specialist, nutrition coach, elite trainer and Herbalife coach.
I’m most proud of working hard for the image of have created for myself, my family and boys.
I feel what sets me apart from others is my mentality. Never be controlled by emotion, good and bad things come and go but what’s important is embrace them all.
What’s next?
I plan to open my own commercial gym for all ages. This is a dream and goal I strive to make possible. Affordable fitness and nutrition for all ages.
