Today we’d like to introduce you to Aimee Clugston.
Hi Aimee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story and life path started at the age of five. We had a house on Lake Winnipesaukee which was designed and built by my dad. This house was so special and really exposed my animal communication and earth element attraction and connection. There was a huge tree in the middle of the property, this tree was cut down but was so big that the stump was impossible to remove. So my dad decided to build the house around that stump. It made the most incredible coffee table. I could always feel the energy of that tree emanating throughout the house. It was pure magic.
My first conversation with an animal was also in that house and was with a squirrel. I remember talking to him about how beautiful his coat was and how soft it must have felt. The conversation was so profound. I will never forget that gorgeous squirrel.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, most of my life has been a smooth road. I think it is because of the way I choose to look at my journey through life. That being said, my biggest struggle was when I had to send my horse, Eternal, to heaven. That day really knocked me to my knees. It really sent me into a dark place for several years.
Eternal and I had 20 years of pure love together. It was the kind of love that is shared between a woman and her horse. Pure love. Pure communication. Pure understanding. Pure love. Period.
Eternal and I were the love brigade. The unstoppable love machines that trusted each other with our lives. No matter what we did together. Jumping fences in a show or camping at Catalina Island, we just had absolute trust and love. We loved like there was no tomorrow. We communicated with each other even when we were not near. We shared every day together, every adventure, everything together.
You see when you are a horse owner, you are in this unique “club”. There is something about horses that immediately bond people together, you become immediate friends, and if you find that “one special horse” your horse becomes your best friend, therapist, workout partner, kid, boyfriend, confidant, I mean the list just goes on. So…..once you lose that, you lose EVERYTHING. This includes the “club”, your friends, your lifestyle, your fun, bliss, reason to get out of bed, EVERYTHING. You become obsolete. It is the weirdest thing ever to experience. That is where I was for four years. It was horrific! And I should have never been stuck in that for so long but everyone’s grieving period is different. Different in how you grieve and different for how long it takes to move thru it.
One New Year’s Eve, I decided to attend an overnight Puja. Alone. This is what changed my life and catapulted me out of the dark. It was a life-changing, magical evening. It was a sound bath full of gongs, crystal bowls, didgeridoo, and tuning forks which lasted for a continuous 9 or 10 hours. This is where I was introduced to tuning forks and my future Reiki teacher. Reiki has been a part of my life since 2009, you see Eternal had regular Reiki healings for many years. Some might ask why I didn’t receive Reiki at that time? Well, because Eternal was my priority and at that time Reiki was not combined with healing their human guardians.
After that overnight sound bath, there was a total shift within me. I started my Reiki training and fast forward here we are today.
I am so grateful every day for all big and small things. Every time I find a penny, I thank my angels and guides. Every time I find a feather, I thank my horse, Eternal, for giving me a sign of love. I am truly blessed to have been loved and trusted by an amazing teacher, Eternal.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I really love my work. Actually, I don’t feel like it is work, it is my passion. My work passion is Animal Mediumship. This is a form of intuitive or telepathic communication, a non-verbal language. All animals are able to communicate with us through telepathy; this includes wildlife and exotic animals. Each animal has their own characteristics and personalities, just as humans do, and have the same wide range of feelings, emotions, desires, wants and needs.
My superpower is the ability to connect with all animals to deliver their messages to their paw-parents and guardians.
I am most proud of the people that really take the time to listen, hear the animal’s desires and requests then deliver them. It is so heart fulfilling to see the animals thrive and to see the family dynamics change due to a four-legged being.
It is nothing short of a miracle or magic.
What sets me apart is my understanding of language and how to deliver the messages that are being communicated. The offering of language can motivate, stimulate and set love in motion. That is what makes me so proud and fills my love tank.
Also, my dedication and compassion for elephants. There are many elephants that are finally being moved from captivity into sanctuary. Now that sounds really romantic and wonderful and it is wonderful however, it is a long and healing road for them. They have a lot of trauma that needs healing and it takes years to overcome. Their trauma is just like our trauma. They have been stolen from their families in the wild, beaten, and forced to do very unnatural things and eat unnatural foods. If there is one thing that I would like everyone in the world to understand is that elephants are NOT meant to be ridden! I beg you, please do not ride an elephant. Some of my proudest moments are the ones when I can deliver a message from a captive elephant to help the healing process, to deliver messages about their health and to explain to them what their life will actually look like including smells, tastes and sounds. It is truly a blessing to have the magic of language.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always outside running around or riding my horses. Pony Club was one of my favorite things. As I got older, I fell in love with interior design. I am Italian and a Taurus….whoa! Growing up, I always had something really important to say……or so I thought. The fun meter was on high and the laughter meter was off the charts. I have always been fascinated by laughter and how it makes you feel inside. Laughter is love.
