Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Rivera
Hi Adam , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We started the band a year and a half ago. At first it was only my brother, Issac and me Adam, and slowly we gained new members. We started with bass, guitar, and drums, my brother was playing the drums and I was singing and playing guitar. After we let our cousin join the band as the second guitar player to add more layers to our sound. We went through numerous drummers until we found someone who could match our style. After that we had my brother move from the drums to the guitar so that I could sing solely. We have played many shows and have had a great time at all of them. Usually the mood of the shows is very lively and entertaining to all involved. We all really enjoy playing shows and hanging out. We have released several songs, we have released an album that we have produced by our selves that is pretty lo-fi. And a couple of songs that our friend helped us to produce, and are hoping to release more in the future.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, it has been a smooth road. The hardest part of starting our band was finding the right players. Finding someone to play drums was the hardest part. We had a couple of people try out until we found Tony, our current drummer. Another struggle we had early on was trying to find venues and shows to play because we did not have a big following. When we would play shows we were always trying to make connections and network with other bands.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We make original music, we mostly specialize in rock music. We have influences from all types of music. We are mainly known for playing shows around our area. We are most proud of the original songs that we have created and the energy and excitement that we bring t our shows. We are set apart from others by having our own songs and also having fun hanging out with each other.
What are your plans for the future?
We hope to get more followers, play more shows at bigger venues, have more shirt designs to create and sell and hopefully release more music.
