Today we’re excited to be connecting with Adalina Aladro again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Adalina, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Thank you for having me again—it’s truly an honor! My name is Adalina, and I’m a mixed media artist and creative professional based in Manhattan, New York, originally from Paris. My work blends abstract geometric collage with vibrant, pop-inspired visuals to explore themes like memory, transformation, and the balance between chaos and harmony. I’ve had the privilege of showcasing my art in exhibitions and recently received the Tiny Grant to support my latest collection, Kaleidoforms.
What sets me apart is the way I merge my background in film production, editing, and animation with my artistic practice. I create works that invite viewers to interpret their own narratives through layered compositions, rich textures, and symbolic elements like dry flowers and waves. My journey has been fueled by curiosity and a love for exploration—living in different cities with my family gave me an appreciation for blending perspectives, which shows up in my work. Whether in art, events, or creative production, my goal has always been to craft meaningful experiences that resonate on a deeper level.
Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Since we last spoke, my journey has been anything but linear—it’s been a mix of twists, discoveries, and quiet revolutions. Back then, I was in Los Angeles, pouring my heart into a studio called Something Like This. It was a dream born out of passion and creativity, but like so many others, it couldn’t withstand the impact of COVID. That chapter closed, but it left me with invaluable lessons—ones I carry into everything I do now.
Fast forward, and I’m in New York, working with Emursive Productions—the creative powerhouse behind Sleep No More, Life and Trust, and Speakeasy Magick. It’s a world that thrives on blurring the lines between reality and imagination, and being part of it has been nothing short of transformative. I’m constantly inspired by the ability to create spaces where people can step into entirely new realities, even if just for a moment.
What excites me most these days is the way my artistic practice and production work are beginning to intertwine, forming something new and unexpected. It feels like I’m piecing together a puzzle with fragments from different worlds—some familiar, others entirely unknown. The process is exhilarating, unnerving, and deeply rewarding all at once.
What’s next? I’ll leave that as an open question. Let’s just say the next chapter involves colors you can feel, shapes that challenge perception, and stories that may leave you with more questions than answers. After all, isn’t the mystery what keeps us coming back for more?
We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
Difficult choices often feel like standing at a crossroads where each path is shrouded in fog. I’ve learned that clarity doesn’t always come from overthinking or looking too far ahead, but from being fully present in the moment. My philosophy is simple yet layered: listen to the whispers of intuition, honor the lessons of the past, and trust that the right path will unfold when you take the first step.
Tradeoffs are inevitable, but I don’t see them as losses. Every choice, even the hard ones, is a bridge to something new—something that might not have existed without the courage to decide. I’ve found that the universe has a way of aligning when you choose from a place of authenticity and purpose.
The beauty of it all? Even when the path feels uncertain, it’s still part of the journey. And perhaps that’s the secret—difficult choices aren’t barriers; they’re invitations to grow. What lies beyond them? That’s a story I’m still discovering, one moment at a time.
