Conversations with Tritia Cantun

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tritia Cantun.

Hi Tritia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
During the COVID pandemic, while I was looking for a full-time job, I began focusing more on my well-being – physical, spiritual, mental, etc.…. I reconnected with a teacher from YogaWorks who is also a Reiki Master, Carolina Goldberg. I found yoga and meditation to be extremely helpful particularly during the pandemic to stay grounded and ease stress. What started as taking consistent Yoga classes with Carolina online morphed into taking her Reiki I and II training and then the Reiki Master program all during quarantine in 2020.

I didn’t know at first that crystals and Reiki are deeply connected. I had always had an interest in crystals and I had been to several gem shows including the one in Tucson, which is one of the largest in the world, but it was always for personal use or gifts for friends and family. I started selling extra crystals that I’d picked up at various gem shows to Reiki peers and it eventually turned into me opening an Etsy shop, Lady Geode, where I curate premium crystals and infuse them with Reiki energy. This is my way of spreading Reiki all over the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business during Covid quarantine was interesting. I was very nervous to launch a shop at a time when many people were losing their jobs and struggling to pay bills, but I hoped that those that wanted what I offered would find me.

About three months after I launched the Etsy shop, I came down with COVID-19 and was quarantined at home for two weeks. This was during the holiday season (December) and I had a crystal sale running in the shop. I had to get creative on how to package and ship crystals to customers on time, as many of them were holiday gifts. Thankfully, friends and family were able to help.

Despite the challenges, the shop has done fairly well. I have over two decades of digital marketing experience so I relied heavily on that skill set to launch the shop particularly as it relates to copywriting, keywords, photography, etc… I think it’s really helped me grow as fast as I have.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I own an Etsy shop that specializes in crystals that I have infused with Reiki energy. I personally love sacred geometry and platonic solid shapes, so I carry a lot of them in various sizes and materials in my shop. I also love crystals that remind me of the ocean or sky, so you’ll find a lot of blue and green materials like fluorite, calcite, amazonite, etc… listed in my store.

I’m very proud of the fact that all of my customer reviews are 5 stars. The messages I receive from happy customers are about the quality, clarity and positive energy coming from the crystals are even better than I describe or what was pictured. I am always thrilled when a crystal goes to its new home.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Many of my customers don’t realize that Lady Geode, my shop, is less than a year old. I launched in the Fall of 2020.
