Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Craig.
Hi Mary, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Trucker Kids Clothing because I had hard time finding cool boy clothes for my son that we both liked. I have always had a keen for fashion since my youthful days and after I had my son, it grew even more. However, I learned that my son had his own style and enjoyed picking the clothes he wanted to wear and didn’t agree with all my choices of clothes. This bought me to the idea that if I struggle with this, I could of imagine the constant battles other families experience the same. Trucker Kids Clo Is a place that provides clothes that children and parents can agree on. We inspire children to learn to love themselves, have confidence in what they choose, and overall have fun while doing it. Fashion plays a lot into our emotions and how we view ourselves. Giving children the autonomy to be in control of what they wear has so many benefits of development. Such as confidence, understanding that they are unique and that’s ok and more. So my goal is to keep using fashion to promote self-confidence, self-love and play.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This road has definitely had its challenges. Some challenges that I experienced is getting the world to learn who Trucker Kids Clothing is. Having a newly business takes time when it comes to growth, however I’m here to enjoy the ride. What keeps me overcoming some of these obstacles is the happiness that I see on my kiddies faces during our photoshoots. They express so much joy and feel that they are apart of something even more greater.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a person that have experience many job fields that helped me gain a lot of my experience. I still find myself back to what I’m gifted at. In my current career field, I help many with organizing, planning and building relationships with clients about their finances. I’m always being the person to uplift and inspire people no matter what job I encountered. Added kid fashion to my gifts will up bring a lot of children lives in a positive aspect.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I will like to see my store having a big influence on parent’s and children’s lives. I want to make it easy for parents to navigate through my online website by providing details on merchandise, ways on how to style it and make my website interactive. I have one major idea but I keep this as a secret, lol.
