Conversations with the Inspiring Trisanne Marin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trisanne Marin.

Trisanne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I fell in love with the industry as a child and later relocated to Los Angeles. I began as an assistant at LA Management in 2009, and quickly parlayed that into a position as talent manager in 2010, opening and heading-up the youth department shortly thereafter. My primary focus is on youth and young adults.

Has it been a smooth road?
I think I have been incredibly fortunate to work with some talented, kind, hardworking clients, which makes my job so much more rewarding, considering the industry has an ebb and flow. I recommend young women look to work with people that they genuinely like. Additionally, make sure you take time to make personal goals for yourself.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a senior talent manager and I represent actors in film and television. I mainly represent youth and young adults, therefore I’m also there to guide them navigating the Hollywood distractions that come with success as they grow up.

I’m proud of all my clients and the hard work they have put in, Gregory Kasyan (plays Eli Kardashian on Netflix’s Daybreak ) I first scouted him when he was eight years old, while my client Jordan Ver Hoeve Hoeve secured a series regular playing Luke on the Netflix series Huge in France in less than a year of signing him.

What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
I think in general, there can always be challenges in being a leader, however I believe it is important not to focus on those challenges and barriers, but to look to one’s strengths.
