Conversations with the Inspiring Sanaz Aghachi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sanaz Aghachi.

Sanaz, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After graduating with a Business Management degree, I attended GIA to further my knowledge with diamonds, which I obtained a certificate in Diamond Grading. Then, I worked at a lab grading diamonds for their color & clarity. I was passionate to invent a product that merges the two worlds of diamonds and candles into one.

Trillion Candle is the only candle in the market to leave you with an everlasting diamond necklace. Once the candle is fully burned, a diamond necklace will be then visible in a metal case & is able to be removed and worn as a luxurious accessory. The enclosed diamond is 0.08carat and necklaces come in 14K Yellow, Rose or White Gold. Currently, we have five different scents; Bamboo 13, Gardenia 57, Mandarin 42, Wood 33 and Signature 28. All candles are $295 except Signature fragrance is $395 because the diamond is 0.10carat and the wax changes color as it burns. Trillion Candle is in the process of forming a partnership to donate a portion of the proceeds to a Children’s Hospital.

Has it been a smooth road?
Is success ever a smooth road? Absolutely not. Some struggles along the way are investing money, time, countless hours and not getting results. The biggest hurdle is having leads, but not being able to turn them into sales. One advice for young entrepreneurial women is to find out what people want, what people will buy, and stick to that. Don’t worry about the people who don’t buy, instead, question why the buyers bought your service/product and focus on that.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Trillion Candle story. Tell us more about it.
I specialize in Diamonds. I am most proud of my invention Trillion Candle because it holds three gifts in one. A candle, a 14k diamond necklace, and proceeds to charity.

For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
Women are capable of any position. We are emotional, yes, but that’s what makes us stronger. Even dealing with all our emotions/hormones, we still manage to pull through and come out on top. Nothing will ever replace a woman’s power.
