Today we’d like to introduce you to Paula Carlotto.
Paula, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am the founder of Alegria Bazaar, in 2011, I been creating one of a kind pieces of jewelry for over 17 years. I moved to Los Angeles from Argentina 20 years ago, my passion for crystals started really deep and having vivid experiences with them.
I started my jewelry line and I was selling them in art fairs, fundraising events, but most of my venues were Farmer Markets all over Los Angeles area.
My first one was Larchmont Farmer Market, after 12 years of fairs, I create ALEGRIA BAZAAR mobile boutique, I was one of the first fashion trucks in LA.
A long time ago, the idea of creating my own bazaar, started in growing in me, I had been searching for means, to express my deep admiration for different cultures, their vibrant colors and ethnic diversity. I was born with the Gipsy soul, I have always loved Art in every form there is. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to travel, meet people from all over the world and live through my eyes, I AM open to the Universe… anything is Possible… as Picasso said: TODO LO QUE PUEDE SER IMAGINADO ES REAL, now, I’m ready to share Alegria with you! Join me to live through colors, touch, feel, discover new textures, absorb the energy of the gemstones and buy objects that would make you feel beautiful and unique.
Alegria Bazaar by Paula Carlotto is a unique space created to showcase and sell unique pieces, Alegria is ART + PASSION + QUALITY.
I believe in the creativity and magic every artist carries within. I’ve been always interested in learning more about their craft, in spreading their voices, in promoting their work with respect. I have carefully handpicked every object on display at my bazaar.
I have to confess, I feel deeply moved by each and every one of them. For me, everything has a meaning a purpose, an intent. Every single piece carries a special energy that could heal your soul.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I always follow my dreams, even though we have to balance been a single mom, an entrepreneur and keep fresh always and positive. The only way to succeed is to work hard, listen to your intuition and never give up.
I feel so blessed to work with my self every single day and do what I love to do.
In my business, I try to work with local and overseas women artisans and support them by giving them a space in my bazaar. I believe we need to empower each other and build our community with a good spirit.
What should we know about Alegria Bazaar by Paula Carlotto? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
In my bazaar, I specialize in crystals because I am a strong believer in their own power of healing, I choose all of my pieces and select them.
My bazaar is an experienced store, you can touch, feel and connect with their vibration. I like the old fashion way of customer service, attend by the owner and make you feel special. I design and make most of the jewelry pieces, made with healing crystals and they are one of a kind.
