Conversations with the Inspiring Ayesha Sehra

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayesha Sehra.

Ayesha, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My journey started back when I was 17 years old when my passion for fitness and health really grew! Growing up in a time where Social Media was such a trendy place to be (still is!), I started sharing my love and passion for my fitness and healthy lifestyle.

I started my Instagram account and Fitness Blog online where I shared my workouts, what I eat/recipes, advice and my journey of competing in fitness competitions in Canada!
I did this all throughout University- my following and influence online grew immensely over the years, and so did my Personal Training business!

From sharing my passion for fitness and nutrition online, I started getting a lot more clients who wanted to work with me. Since I was in school and there are only so many hours in a day, I took clients on via Online Coaching.

I provided them with weekly accountability check-ins, customized workout and nutrition programs, and full support and access to me 24/7 online as their coach. This business grew over the years I was in school and so did my influence online. I started working with various brands online, received sponsorships with supplement companies, I even landed modeling jobs for fitness and lifestyle brands as well as two commercials.

This later extended into, being invited to speak at events in Toronto, the city I am from, leading events for brands big brands such as Bumble and being involved in more Influencer Marketing campaigns with major global brands.

I learned the power of Social Media at a young age and the power of building a brand presence online to build a lucrative and thriving business!

I started getting asked how I built my influence online and leveraged that into building a sustainable and thriving business in the online space. I have always worked for myself and loved the idea of being my own boss, creating my day, managing my own hours/schedule and the financial freedom and abundance this lifestyle brought.

This is how it led to the birth of my Social Media Marketing Agency, Grow The Social.
Grow The Social works with various Personal Brands and Business’ to help scale their online presence to take their business to the next level. Through leveraging social platforms like, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn and delivering brands a customized, curated brand strategy to differentiate themselves in the online space, master their online presence to generate the exposure to take their business to the next level!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a linear journey, but I always say that I am extremely grateful for the highs and lows of the journey so far!

The highs are always great but the growth it in the struggles and adversities we overcome!
Especially in the recent months, Grow The Social has been in a major growth phase which has presented immense amounts of obstacles along the way.

These have been an amazing learning experience for myself. At 23 years old, I definitely feel like I have to constantly keep learning, evolving and investing in my own growth from mentors whom I look up who I can turn to for business advice and strategy.

My biggest piece of advice would be to ALWAYS invest in your growth. Whether that be investing in a mentor/coach who you wish to emulate and learn from or courses for continuing your education in your industry to become more of an expert at your craft. ALWAYS continue to be a learner, and you will always win and succeed!

What should we know about Grow The Social? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Social Media Strategist, Personal Brand, and Growth Expert. I am also a Social Media Influencer.

I help Personal Brands and Business’ scale on Social Media and 10x their income and influence online through leveraging various social media platforms, primarily Instagram.

I am most proud of the testimonials, feedback, and results I receive from my clients. I always make sure to go above and beyond for each and every one of my clients.

My agency only takes clients on that we feel are ready and motivated to 10x their business and online success. This makes for the magic of a positive and thriving relationship with all clients Grow The Social works with and makes my job my passion and the most fulfilling feeling to experience!
It is an incredible thing when you can help others achieve the financial freedom, abundance, and the life they’ve always dreamed of having!

For a good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
I honestly feel like we have made tremendous strides in the female entrepreneurship area.
I do feel like there could always be more. More female-focused entrepreneurship/leadership events run, more awareness online, more communities where women can feel supported by other women and go out there and own their greatness!

I want all women to feel empowered to do what they love, start the business they’ve always dreamed of and go dominate in the world of business. I do believe that more and more, female entrepreneurship is evolving but would love to see it taken a lot further!

Together, we all rise!
