Today we’d like to introduce you to Duane Finley.
Hi Duane, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Inglewood, California. I made my acting debut in the hit feature film The Wood. The audition came through my drama teacher senior year of high school. She drove myself and several other students to the Santa Monica to an open call and the rest is history. In short, I went to college on an academic scholarship and the acting bug. I soon found myself on theatre stages in Utah. When I got out of college, I came back to LA to help run the family business and pursue acting as a career. Over the years, I’ve managed to run a successful business, be a father and grace the big screen. With my face appearing in several titles this coming summer 2021, producer and writer are now added to the resume.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t. Life always seems to throw a curveball just to keep us humble and human. No matter what happens, I focus on being a good dude and don’t allow myself to dwell in a negative perception. My motto is life is 10 percent the shit that happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it. We all have a choice, even if most of them are trash you can choose
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the owner of My Mailbox, Inc. A private mailbox company and business center in South Los Angeles and Inglewood. Also, a producer and creator at Jamestown Filmworks based in Atlanta Georgia geared to release several projects 2022
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Also, the owner of Fins livescan and Notary Public. And integrity One tax services.
