Conversations with Brian Chorski

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Chorski.

Hi Brian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I’m originally from a small town in Wisconsin and currently live in San Francisco. I get down to LA pretty regularly for work projects, which I’m guessing is how we got to talking! ha

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I only really started getting into creating photos when I moved to the West Coast five years ago – where I fell in love with photographing landscapes. I went through an awkward phase of my career where I didn’t really know how to edit photographs well until I started shooting film and studying its color palettes. I feel like I really understand color now.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a photographer/director specializing in film photography. This was birthed out of raw passion for finding beauty in the ordinary and has turned into more “on-assignment” type of work for brands looking for something a little different. Knowing how to do this well has attracted really fun clients to work with.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I’d love to create a small production house with a handful of employees. I’m thinking a Head of Business Development, Director, Creative Producer, Photographer, and Graphic Designer to start – then see where that goes. Don’t want to give away too much of my plan, now!!
