Conversations with Brendie-Nicole Aceret

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brendie-Nicole Aceret.

Hi Brendie-Nicole, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all began in 2011 while working at Benefit Cosmetics where I fell in love with all things beauty. The following summer, I enrolled in Career Academy of Beauty in Garden Grove and received my license in esthetics. It’s been eight years and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I started Sugar Haven in June 2017 and have watched my sweet dream become reality!

Born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. I’ve always been captivated with beauty. Whether helping the people around me feel beautiful or even beautifying my environment – I always loved how beauty can make a person feel. How it inspires confidence in people, how beautiful spaces can create a feeling of calm amongst chaos. All my ALOHA!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a climb, more like a journey. Before I branched off on my own I was definitely scared to leave the salon I was at the time because one, I absolutely loved my boss and forever appreciated all I had learned and the opportunity she gave me. Two, I had doubts about what if my clients didn’t want to follow me to my new location. But after getting her blessing and support, I took that leap of faith. Success is always built upon risk, change, continued education, learning to set boundaries and personal development. The journey teaches you to cope with failure. You learn to get up anyway and to push onward towards your dreams.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Offering you a range of beauty services from natural sugaring hair removal, brow shaping, lash lifting, tooth gems & skin revision treatments. At Sugar Haven your satisfaction and comfortability is my number one priority. Providing unique, personalized beauty treatments. These are catered specifically to your needs, ensured you leave feeling confident, relaxed and beauty within.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success takes a tremendous amount of effort and sacrifice. You must have the resilience to face the inevitable. You have to believe that you will succeed, and you have to trust the process. It all starts with you. When you fall in love with your vision, fate will push you to follow that path, but you have to really want it. When you see that your success improves and positively influences the lives of others, it will all be worth it.
