While my family placed great importance on education, the beauty world beckoned with its allure. It was a realm where creativity, passion, and artistry converged. This path, though, wasn’t met with the same enthusiasm from my parents. In contrast, many of my aunts ran nail shops and suggested that I venture into the world of eyelash extensions. This suggestion marked the beginning of an unexpected adventure that would change my life forever.
I wholeheartedly embraced the challenge and dedicated myself to mastering the art of eyelash extensions. Over the course of 12 years, I honed my skills and built a name for myself in the industry. From music stars to members of royal families, supermodels, famous influencers, and everyday individuals, my client list grew to include people from all walks of life. What drove me was the profound satisfaction I derived from helping people not just look beautiful but also feel beautiful from within.
Then came the pandemic, a time that altered the course of my life in ways I could never have imagined. With the blessing of impending motherhood and a desire to ensure the safety of my unborn child, my fiancé and I made the pivotal decision to enter lockdown mode. During this period of isolation and reflection, a spark of creativity ignited within us.
Together, we embarked on a remarkable journey of innovation. With the shared vision of bringing a touch of Beverly Hills luxury to homes worldwide, we set out to develop a line of high-quality eyelash products that would be accessible to everyone. It was during these 18 months of hard work and dedication that VLS Beverly Hills was born – a brand that encapsulates the essence of elegance and sophistication in every lash.
I stand as living proof that dreams can, indeed, come true. From being an eyelash artist at the highest level to becoming the CEO of my very own lash brand, my journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. I am not an influencer, model, or actress endorsing a product; I am the embodiment of passion, talent, and dedication in the beauty industry. When I first set out on my journey as an eyelash artist, little did I know that one of the most formidable challenges I would face was building a client base and earning their trust. It was a hurdle that would test my resolve and push me to the limits of dedication and perseverance.
In the beginning, attracting clients was an uphill battle. The beauty industry is vast and competitive, and gaining a foothold requires not only talent but also the ability to stand out in a crowded field. My family’s traditional background made this journey even more challenging, as pursuing a career in the beauty industry was not what my parents had envisioned for me. But I was determined to prove that my passion could indeed become a successful career.
The path to building trust and a solid clientele was marked by patience and relentless hard work. It was a gradual process that started with friends who became my first clients. I poured my heart and soul into every lash I crafted, and my friends soon became my biggest advocates. They began recommending me to their friends, creating a small but loyal network of clients.
Word-of-mouth referrals were the initial key to my success. People would call me, saying they had heard about my work from someone they trusted. This organic growth in my client base was immensely rewarding, but it didn’t come without its challenges. It required maintaining consistently high-quality work, as one unhappy client could tarnish the reputation I was diligently building.
