Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica H. Speck.
Hi Veronica H., thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am originally from California and began my career in New York City at publishing houses including Condé Nast, Hearst, and Meredith. While at Vogue, I had the opportunity to assist with the Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. I enjoyed the process so much that I continued working in fine arts and special events at Christie’s Auction House during Graduate School and upon graduation in the Development Department of the Whitney Museum of American Art. I raised exhibition funds through annual galas and auctions and managed patron group programming. I continued to produce events and fundraise on a much larger scale at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, including the annual Cannes Gala during the Film Festival.
Leveraging my experience in the art world, I joined Bernardaud and created artist collaborations and partnerships with artists including Jeff Koons, Vik Muniz, JR, Marina Abramovic, Julian Schnabel, David Lynch, The Campana Brothers, Sarah Lavoine, and the Alexander Calder, Joan Miro, and Marc Chagall Foundations.
In 2019, I joined the Executive Team of Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud’s global hospitality group where I oversaw expansion and all communication and marketing strategies.
In 2020, I established VHS Ventures with initial clients including Daniel Boulud, Ferrari, and Maison d’ Etto. As of 2022, my team has expanded internationally and new clients include Assouline and Mr. C Hotels by Cipriani amongst other luxury and lifestyle brands. I am also proud to be a member of the Forbes Business Council, Female Design Council, and one of Forbes Next 1000 Entrepreneurs.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I think the world struggled with the challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic; however, I am proud to be working with clients and partners that have donated their time, resources, and funds to the healthcare and science industry.
As you know, we’re big fans of VHS Ventures. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
VHS Ventures is an international communications consultancy and strategic advisory agency that provides affinity partnerships, branding and business development, celebrity and VIP relations, digital marketing, e-commerce, event production, experiential media, and public relations for luxury and lifestyle clients in the automotive, architecture, art, beauty, design, fashion, finance, fintech, fragrance, fine jewelry, hotel and hospitality, luxury, real estate, restaurant, travel and tourism, technology, and wine industry. We also partner with clients in our portfolio to provide angel investing, advising services, and venture capital for established and emerging luxury brands. We also almost exclusively work with sustainable brands and organizations as well as those that have a charitable component or mission.
What’s next?
This year, we are in the process of continuing to scale internationally and building out our team. I look forward to participating in Zona Maco art fair in Mexico City and Salone del Mobile in Milano as well as representing new clients and exhibiting with global galleries. I am also excited to announce the opening of new hotels and hospitality projects as well as a collaboration between two incredible Middle Eastern designers in Q1.
