Hi Travis, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have always followed the rules. I got good grades, got a good job, and followed society’s standards. Then around 9 years ago, I realized that I wasn’t happy with my corporate job and that it’s not something that I can do long term.
When I found out about Amazon FBA, I decided to try it. I have realized that there are many great opportunities when you start a business. I wanted to have a passive income. The idea is if you can create a business that runs on autopilot and gives you the money you desire, you will be able to experience the freedom of spending your time and money on the things you truly love. That’s when I thought of creating my own business, my goal was to earn $300 passive income per day. I wanted to achieve the freedom to do the things that I wanted while I’m earning money.
So one day, I quit my job cold turkey to pursue my goal. I was so excited but was so hard on myself at the same time. I was really eager to make it happen that I didn’t sleep for weeks so I ended up having a complete mental breakdown. I realized quickly that this entrepreneurship thing is not as easy as other says it to be. A few years later, I started selling something that I’m passionate about. I created a Passion Product, something that is not yet on the market, and started selling it on Amazon. Since then, I’ve done over $5,000,000 in online sales which allowed me to be my own boss, make my own hours, and spend my life doing things I am passionate about. I now help other people to do the same thing, help them gain freedom through Ecommerce using the proven system I developed over the last 8 years that has helped hundreds of students quit their job and gain their freedom.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t always easy, the first 6 months of starting my first business were the loneliest & most challenging period of my life. I didn’t have a mentor or anyone around me to help me to build my business. I struggled because I never knew the next step to take, and I often waste my time.
I spent the next few years struggling to try to make money online. I first started an online dance clothing company with my mom. The business did okay, but it didn’t make me anything close to $100,000 a year, it wasn’t passive income, and I wasn’t really interested in dance clothing. I felt defeated at the time. It even got to the point where I ended up moving back in with my parents.
When I started my Amazon FBA business, I faced my fair share of challenges. I didn’t start having success with my business until I realized having a mentor and a community around you is the key to success.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
When I was just starting out, I wish I knew the importance of having a mentor.
I didn’t have a mentor or anyone around me to help me build my business. I struggled because I never knew the next step to take, and I would often go in circles wasting my time. I didn’t start having success with my business until I realized having a mentor and a community around you is the key to success.
My advice for those who are just starting out, especially when it comes to starting a business, is to have a mentor. Find someone to guide you and teach you. Someone who can tell you what to do and what not to do. It’s also best if you surround yourself with people who have the same goals as you. They will be able to help you in making decisions and solving problems.
