Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Torres.
Hi Robert, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been into photography because my parents would always carry a camera and camcorder and document our adventures and family functions. In high school, I took a photography class and was taught how to develop film in a dark room. I bought my first professional camera in my early 20s.
I was always the go-to person to take pictures of our family functions.
I’ve always had an eye for capturing moments and scenery. Then I met my husband, who is an event planner and assisted with his content. I soon realized with the push of other vendors/photographers who noticed my potential; I started my small business as a photographer/videographer.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So far, it has been smooth, but here and there, you get some other photographers who tend to put other vendors down when they should be lifting you up. But I have been surrounding myself with other photographers that have given me that push of confidence and tips/tricks.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Bobby Torres Media?

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up in Anaheim, CA, my parents were always working to have a better life for us. I had a wild and vivid imagination I was always wanting to be in front of the camera while my dad would film us. I was the favorite child of my dad, and he would call me “El Rey.” I love Disneyland, Disney movies, and horror movies.
I am one of 5 siblings.
I have always been outgoing and shy at the same time.
I do love adventure’s theme parks.
We would always go to Vegas with my family during summer vacations.
