Today, we’d like to introduce you to Reina Prado.
Hi Reina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I established Healing Queen in 2013 and went full-time into my holistic energy practitioner in 2018. I’m certified in various holistic energy modalities. I’m also an author, mystic, and creator of the training Shamanic Elements in Reiki. My practice reflects the blend of modalities I was trained in and the wellness practices my ancestors passed on to me.
I share the “Grandmothers’ Teachings” on love and joy, guiding heart seekers and mystics to trust love again. I’ve experienced them as the “grandmothers’ teachings” because they are part of the collective well of knowledge from my indigenous-Mexican ancestry. These were teachings shared with me by tending to the ancestors in a co-creative relationship. This is how the teachings in Shamanic Elements in Reiki came through.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, I write and record guided experiences, facilitate circles and love-conscious group coaching programs on self-love, focus on joy and esoteric practices, and cultivate a deep trust in love. You can purchase my book Spring Into Love (2021) from Balboa Press.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road.
Once I committed to be of service in this way, opportunities opened up. However, as with most of us, the Covid pandemic provided its challenges. I learned to pivot and began offering sessions remotely. This was when I connected with Minka Brooklyn in New York and the now-defunct Rainbow Soul Collective in Massachusetts.
I’m currently on the roster of the Minka Mystery School. I also work with clients internationally in Norway, Dubai, Thailand, and Costa Rica, as well as nationally in the U.S. Although I’m going through a growth spurt with the establishment of the school, I have not fully recuperated from the economic impact of the pandemic and local strikes in key industries in Los Angeles.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
When I established Healing Queen, the seed of the Love Limpias had not yet been planted.
However, a prayer that I included in a poem I wrote in 1998 to Santa Perversa, the patron saint of all things erotic, sensual, and love, would become the seed of my signature offering. Many would share that they’d say the prayer and have amazing romantic encounters. In hindsight, I believe I channeled Santa Perversa. The exploration of the prayer reconnected me to my ancestral lineage, many of who were Curanderxs, mid-wives, and sobadores.
The Love Limpias are energetic clearings of the heart space to prepare to receive what one is calling in. The Love Limpias are the cornerstone of my practice, besides Cranial Sacral Unwinding, Reiki, and Polarity Therapy.
In April, I launched the Healing Queen School of Sacred Alchemy, where I taught many of the holistic energy modalities that I employ in private sessions or group circles. Shamanic Elements in Reiki is the first training program I offered. I will also be teaching Usui/Holy Fire III World Peace Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Akashic Records, 13th Octave LaHoChi, and Angel toning and Light Language.
As a multi-faceted practitioner, I approach sessions as an artist. What tools do I need at this moment to serve the client best? No session is the same. At the core of my services is returning us back to our whole selves as an expression and vibration of love.
