We’re Karen and Paula—best friends, architects, and co-founders of Olive Club. Our journey started with a shared love for design and a passion for creating something meaningful. As architects, we’ve always appreciated the power of functional beauty, and we saw a gap in the jewelry market for pieces that combined style with purpose. That’s what led us back to each other and inspired the creation of Olive Club.

Drawing from our Mediterranean and South American roots, we wanted to craft jewelry that reflected our values: timeless, practical luxury for the modern woman. Each piece is designed to be as functional as it is beautiful, making sure women feel both empowered and confident in their everyday lives.

Olive Club isn’t just a brand; it’s a reflection of who we are and the journey we’ve taken together. We’re here to offer more than just jewelry—we’re offering pieces that connect women to something bigger, a sense of confidence and belonging. It’s a movement, and we’re so excited to bring our vision to life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped Olive Club into what it is today. The design process was incredibly complex—creating jewelry that blends functionality and luxury meant multiple rounds of samples and refining our vision until it was just right. With long lead times and the pressure of getting it perfect, it was a true test of patience and persistence.

Starting an e-commerce business with no background in retail or product manufacturing was another huge hurdle. Building a community from scratch, gaining trust, and making sure our message resonated took time, but every step was worth it. We had to learn to let go of the fear of waiting for everything to be perfect and embrace the process of growth, even if things weren’t always ideal.

Despite the complexity and the setbacks, we’re stronger for it. Every challenge has made us more committed to building Olive Club into something meaningful, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.

She has worked with major organizations such as the United Nations and global leaders in the building technology industry, and has been instrumental in securing and delivering multimillion-dollar contracts for Fortune 500 companies. Paula’s strategic vision and business acumen shape Olive Club’s growth, helping overcome challenges and driving international expansion.

Karen complements this with her expertise as a multidisciplinary designer, having worked with top global brands like Kelly Wearstler, Bureau Betak, Ralph Lauren, Jacquemus, and Nike. With a background in architectural design and luxury fashion, Karen brings a unique perspective to Olive Club, ensuring every piece blends beauty with practicality.

Together, their combined leadership, business expertise, and creative vision set Olive Club apart, fueling its mission to offer stylish, functional jewelry that empowers women.
