Hi Nicole, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My business started as a passion for the arts and teaching with my mom. We have been in the art teaching business for many years now but our main success and expansion has been due to the team that we have had. Today we have 3 studios in OC and one in Cabo San Jose and continue to dream about opening more as a means of hitting more communities and being a place of creative and mental haven and zen.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about ARTime BARRO?
Our studios are the perfect pottery studio for beginner and hobbyist students. We offer classes for one-time students, and ongoing students, and workshops that focus on projects having to do with ceramics, wellness, creativity, and sustainability. We are known for our amazing class instructors and wellness fusion workshops that collaborate with local facilitators to create unique experiences. I would say this sets us apart from other studios that we focus on the fusion of mental health activities like journaling, sound healing, movement, etc. with clay. This has been a recent development in the business, one year now offering these experiences to further define the brand and make it niche and special. We are proud of the brand as it becomes something that the students and clients have an impact on, along with our beliefs in providing an accepting, diverse, authentic, creative zen space.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson has been listening to everyone, employees and clients alike as they are the ones that run and provide for the business, so to better make it a place that is theirs where they feel seen and cared about.
