Community Highlights: Meet Mary Ruth Ghiyam of MaryRuth Organics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Ruth Ghiyam.

Hi Mary Ruth, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
When I started my business in 2013, I saw private nutrition clients one on one. Around 2015 I created our first liquid multivitamin that is vegan, gluten-free, & made with organic ingredients…. it was just my mom and I building this business till 2018… just two employees (and we were in a lot of debt!). Now in 2021, we have over 90 products, over 70 employees, & we have helped over 2 million people enjoy our products & live healthier lives.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not smooth at all! My mom and I have worked so hard with NO days off for seven years to build this company! It is worth it! The two things I am most proud of is growing this business and getting out of debt and helping so many people to live healthier lives!

We’ve been impressed with MaryRuth Organics, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our customer service sets us apart! We believe in health education and customer care before business development 🙂

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
My dad and my 17 years old Brother (Daniel) died suddenly which was so painful. It taught me how to overcome challenges and that life is precious. I was always a type A person growing up – always making to do list. Captain of my basketball team and all state in lacrosse and ran cross country.
