Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Pfeiffer.
Hi Lisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been on my own since I was 16. I knew from a young age that nobody was going to make life happen and it was up to me to create a life. I also want to help women find love for themselves in every way possible. I started practicing skin care with a plastic surgeon and dermatologist and I realize very quickly that there had to be a better way to take care of skin that wasn’t abusive or invasive. Through trial and error, I came up with the Peaches facial and this facial has served me well for almost 4 decades.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No! Being an owner of a small business has its daily challenges. I have had employees steal from me and create major issues. Dealing with the public also has its challenges, most especially in the beauty industry. I find you learn how to be better and do better from every setback. Covid almost destroyed what we had created in 36 years. We picked ourselves up and we pivoted, and, in the end, you realize you should never give up.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We own three Holistic Skin Care salons where we teach aging with love and grace and healthy skin care naturally without pills or procedures. We believe in not wearing foundation and concealer but uncovering your confidence and treating the skin in a natural healthy way.
Any big plans?
We have our products on Amazon, and we have built our online presence and hope to grow that even more. We hope to do so well online that we can had our salons off to our employees that have been with us for years through thick and thin. I also hope to help others on a wider scale to have confidence and love who they are without falling into the traps That the beauty industry and marketing has set up for most especially women. They are unattainable beauty standards, and the story needs to change on what is beautiful. Changing your face for others is a ridiculous standard. It’s a toxic circle.
