Community Highlights: Meet Lilliana Castro of The Oasis Head Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lilliana Castro.

Lilliana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a licensed cosmetologist, I know firsthand how hard it can be to find a salon that truly focuses on scalp health. After struggling with scalp psoriasis myself and realizing how limited the options were here in my hometown, I was inspired to create something different. That’s why I created a space dedicated to revitalizing scalp care—where wellness meets relaxation. Whether people are dealing with specific scalp concerns or just need a moment to unwind, I started this journey hoping to help people feel confident, comfortable, and cared for from the roots up.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The lack of accessible, targeted care made it clear that there was a gap in the industry—one that left many individuals, like myself, without the support they needed. The dream of opening my own space felt out of reach, especially as I had to invest my own money to get started. It was a challenging journey, but my passion for scalp care and helping others pushed me forward. What once felt impossible is now a space where people can finally receive the care and relaxation they deserve.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I use only clean, high-quality products—free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates—designed to nourish the scalp and support overall wellness. Scalp health is my top priority, and each treatment is enhanced with intentional, soothing scalp massage techniques that promote circulation, relieve tension, and encourage relaxation. Equally as important is the environment I’ve created- a calming, judgment-free grounded space where clients can feel comfortable, cared for, and feel open to receiving these deeply restorative treatments.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
As a local, female-owned business, community support is essential to my growth and success. People can help by sharing experiences, leaving reviews, and recommending me to friends and family. Together, we can build a thriving community focused on wellness, confidence, and self-care, one scalp at a time!
