Community Highlights: Meet Lea Buniyat of Aesthete Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lea Buniyat.

Hi Lea, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story began in London, where I was studying and looking for a creative outlet that truly felt like me. At just 18, I started making handmade floral Christmas wreaths — simple at first, but filled with love and detail. That small hobby quickly grew into designing floral window displays for cafés and boutiques, and that’s when I realized how deeply I loved creating beauty from scratch. There’s something magical about watching people pause, smile, and feel something just from a space you’ve transformed.

A few years later, after getting married, my husband and I moved to the U.S. – first to Miami – and that’s where Aesthete Events was born. We began by planning all kinds of celebrations: birthdays, picnics, kids’ parties, and proposals. But over time, I discovered where my heart truly belongs – proposals. There’s nothing quite like witnessing that raw emotion, the surprise, and the joy in those few unforgettable seconds. That’s when I knew my purpose wasn’t just about flowers or setups – it was about creating moments that people will remember for the rest of their lives.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road – but I think that’s what makes the journey so meaningful. Moving to a new country and starting from scratch was both exciting and terrifying. We didn’t have connections or a network here, so everything had to be built slowly, step by step. In the beginning, we did everything ourselves – from designing to marketing to carrying boxes and setting up events.

There were moments when bookings were slow, or I doubted whether I was doing enough to stand out. Especially in such a competitive industry like event design, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But every challenge taught me something -about patience, resilience, and trusting my own vision.

Being a mom and running a creative business also came with its own struggles – learning to balance work, family, and still find time to dream. But I’ve realized that the beauty of this path lies exactly in those imperfections -they shape who you become and make every success feel truly earned.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Aesthete Events ?
Aesthete Events specializes in luxury marriage proposals and intimate event setups that blend art, emotion, and storytelling. Each design is created with a personal touch – combining floral artistry, romantic details, and thoughtful aesthetics to turn life’s most meaningful moments into unforgettable experiences.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I believe in luck to some extent, but more than anything, I believe in God. Every beautiful moment, every “lucky break,” every challenge that turned into a blessing – I truly believe it was all part of His plan. There were times when things just aligned in ways I couldn’t explain – meeting the right people, landing my first big clients, or finding the courage to start over in a new country.

Of course, there were difficult days too -times that felt like bad luck or setbacks. But with time, I realized that even those moments were meant to teach me something or redirect me toward something better.

So while some may call it luck, I see it as God’s timing. I just try to do my best, stay grateful, and trust that everything happens for a reason.
