Today we’d like to introduce you to Lahila Oppenheimer.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up in Germany until the age of 24, I eventually came to CA. Fascinated by the golden light of the sun, I have put roots into the ground, and I made a life for myself as an artist living in Laguna Beach.
Aside from doing various art exhibits at the Laguna Beach art festivals (as well as up and down the coast, from San Diego to San Francisco), I also created self-empowerment women’s groups with the purpose of healing and transformation. Even back then, a few decades ago I offered counseling sessions with individuals on their quest for healing and soul searching. I always found great fulfillment in helping people heal and finding a healthier prospective and purpose for their life.
Having two gold and one platinum record as a songwriter and recording artist/singer in Germany, I tried to create a music career here in the US, but it just was not meant to be. Now, I know that my true calling always has been to do healing and spiritual growth-oriented work with individuals and groups.
Living in West Hollywood, I became a Kundalini Yoga teacher. I taught in various yoga studios in and outside of LA, enjoying the benefits of a healing modality that positively affects one’s body, mind, and spirit. Of course, that included the beneficial experiences of meditation and turning within.
Eventually, I explored the high vibrational sound currents of various healing instruments like the gong, Tibetan, and crystal bowls, my electrical harps, and many other instruments. Creating magical sound journeys like gong sound baths and sound meditations became a personal passion. Guiding others to feeling ease and comfort from deep relaxation and the releasing of all kinds of stresses that consequently lead to letting go, powerful healing and transformation can be achieved. To this day I am offering those magical sound-bath events to private groups and corporate organizations, festivals, and anyone who seeks the benefit of these events.
Aside from sound-bath events, I also offer private counseling sessions, empowerment workshops, and healing circles. I work at Equinox Fitness Clubs as well, providing sound meditations in different EQX Los Angeles and LA County locations throughout the week.
Another important, fulfilling aspect is my weekly volunteering contributions at UCLA ED (Emergency Department), offering patient comfort care. My greatest passion is being on call for UCLA NODA (No One Dies Alone, Santa Monica & Westwood), assisting patients in their final hours of transitioning. It is a great honor and privilege to be part of somebody’s most private and often uneasy moments and offering loving comfort and soothing guidance.
I am currently writing a book about the peaceful transitioning process from a positive spiritual prospective titled Do You Know Where You’re Going? A Feel-Good Comforting Prognosis For Our Magnificent Afterlife
In my free time, you find me Latin Dancing and twirling around on the dance floor. But lately it seems like I am doing a lot of events and individual counseling sessions with very little personal play time. But that’s okay; there is a time and phase for everything. I love my work since it truly is the purpose for my being here. I find great fulfillment in being a part of somebody’s self-realization process and helping individuals to find well-being and a positive perspective for whatever the circumstances and conditions may be. We are all awakening to our own true presence, and we are learning how to best navigate this magnificent life.
If you like to create any type of healing event or meditative gong sound baths (small or large), I am constantly looking for new, unique venues like churches, museums, or historic buildings and any event collaborations. The magical ambiance of transforming space into a potent energy field for healing and transformation offered to the community is an important aspect of any of my events.
My dream is to create large transformation events with a huge energy field for magnified healing in order to create tremendous, immediate, powerful healing and transformation shifts for anybody who is in need.

My business is about healing and transformation, self-realization, self-improvement, and, therefore, empowering consciousness expansion for everybody.
I offer spiritually guided magical healing and transformation sound-bath events, empowerment workshops, healing circles, and private counseling sessions.
We all have our personal style and our own talents we are blessed with in terms of how we access higher wisdom that allows us to tune in with a person and to offer that higher guidance and intuitive advice to individuals or groups. From that same place, I create and collaborate in terms of what I feel works best for all. It is an intuitive and creative process.
In terms of event style, I like to create a magical, harmonious ambiance with intriguing sound currents and lights that immediately elevate. My talks, in the beginning, are motivational and inspiring in order to set a mental structure for the transformative vibrational receiving as to what is in one’s highest and best interest.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I like to foresee an outcome and calculate accordingly the best way I can. For example, using clear, immediate, respectful communication at all times.
It is important, though, to step out of the box at times and do things differently in order to learn and to grow. I would not label that as a risk-taking but rather as an opportunity.
I do value integrity highly, therefore any changes of a prior agreement because of taking a risk would need to be communicated before actions are taken.
