Community Highlights: Meet Kelly Mobeck of Kelly J Mobeck Coaching & Training

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Mobeck.

Hi Kelly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved working with people, I find them fascinating, interesting, and capable, and with so many possibilities out there I love to bridge the gap between an idea and dreams coming true. I am also a huge believer in taking “leaps of faith”.

I started out in Mortgage Banking and was in the business for almost 20 years, and while I was good at my job, and loved the people and clients I got to work with, the job was not “lighting me up”. I remember volunteering for some personal growth seminars and I loved it. It was so exciting to see people have transformations and breakthroughs.

One of the facilitators approached me and asked me if I had ever thought about being a coach. I had no idea what she was talking about because in my world coaching was either in sports or creative fields. Once she explained what coaching was about working with people to create the results they want in their life, I was all in!

While still in banking, I went back to school, certified as a professional coach, and leadership coach, and also became a mentor coach for new coaches wanting to build a business. I went on to certify as a trainer in leadership and also became an NLP practitioner (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). It was all so fascinating to me to work with human behavior and assist them in developing new disciplines, behaviors, and ultimately the results they wanted in their life.

I took a leap of faith and started working for a Training Company to create a Leadership Program and went on to train and certify hundreds of  Leadership Coaches and facilitate leadership training for thousands of leaders. This was some of the best work I did. Then I started to feel restless again.

I did a lot of soul-searching and realized that it was time to take a leap of faith and start my own business, still with an emphasis on leadership. I had so many ideas I wanted to implement and expand in leadership. I believe that everyone is a leader in their life and it is a way of being vs a role. I thought, “What if everyone took that on in their life?” and imagined what could change. I have now owned my own company for 10 years and have never looked back. Has it been smooth sailing? Not always and often not.  Has it been worth it? 1000%.

Through this new business, I made a ton of mistakes, learned a lot, grew, and created great success. I learned I loved working with entrepreneurs, women in business, and people ready to take leaps of faith to create their “what’s next.”

In 2020, I created the podcast “Let’s Be Honest Before We Start Pretending” where people all over the world get to take the lead in their life every week. It has been such a gift to see its growth because the intention behind it is to create impact and growth and it is!

In 2021, I created The Leadership Impact Forum, an 8-week training and coaching program, based on the LIFT Method I have created over the past 10 years.

In 2022, I knew it was time to focus on women, acknowledging their passions, voice, and desires, and moving from being stuck to living fully in both their personal and professional lives. We get to have more women entrepreneurs and leaders in this world and so LIFT(her) was born. It is also based on the LIFT Method with a specific focus on women and I am so incredibly blessed, honored, and in awe to work with them.

I have big plans for 2023 to expand the principles from The LIFT Method even further. It works and I can’t wait to share more about it.

It has been so rewarding to help people remove the “shoulds” in their lives and take inspired action on their ideas with commitment, energy, and genius to have the transformation they want in their relationships and businesses. I feel like I have the best job on the planet and I am incredibly grateful.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road? No way! Worth it, yes!! I think that some of the biggest struggles were literally getting out of my own way over and over again. I had no clue how to start a business, run a business, or scale a business. I doubted my genius many times. I got to let go of perfection and control and doubt and lean into my resourcefulness and ask for help. I have coaches; they are essential and help me grow and scale and move through any limiting beliefs and I don’t make a move without them.

Most of my struggles were on the inside vs the outside. I find that to be true for almost any entrepreneur, leader, or a business owner. Sure there are the outside day-to-day circumstances, and with purpose, grit, determination, and belief beyond reason, you can move through any of them. It is, however, an inside job. Mindset over the mechanics any day. Once I embraced that, well the rest was history. When obstacles or challenges come (and they always do and will), I know that my team and I can move through any of them. I think this is something that drives my coaching and why I am so passionate about serving others.

We’ve been impressed with Kelly J Mobeck Coaching & Training, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Truth! I used to struggle with decision-making so much that it would stop me in my tracks. I would feel anxious, stuck, and uncertain as to the direction I was heading in my life and business.

I want women to know this. You get to remember you are always, and in all ways, ENOUGH. You can step into your power and make the best decisions for you. When we learn to trust ourselves, we will create harmony in our lives and have consistent joy, freedom, peace, and much more of the results we want. This is why I created LIFT (her) a 12-month group coaching program and training. When women trust their decisions and take action from a place of clarity, there is no stopping what they can achieve and the impact they create in their lives and the lives of others. You deserve to have that consistently in your life. I believe in YOU beyond reason.

It is my mission to help women who are ready to create the change and growth they want in their lives, businesses, careers, and relationships. These women may not yet understand that they are leaders (and some do) in their lives and are ready to be bold and take action by creating new habits, beliefs, and behaviors leading them to their biggest and most meaningful outcomes. I want women to seize every single moment and know they deserve the abundant life they desire.
