Community Highlights: Meet Kelli Heald of Heald with Meditation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelli Heald.

Hi Kelli, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a certified Mindfulness/Meditation Guide, but I didn’t just wake up one day and decide I would be a meditation coach, in 2015, my husband of 25 years died from a rare blood disorder, Amyloidosis. This unbelievable loss left me with pain that I had never experienced before and a life without any direction. 

I first started making sure my body was as healthy as it could be and made my physical health a priority because my kids were left with just one parent, so I felt I owed it to them to be the best version of me. As part of this health journey, I was introduced to different modalities that were more about mental health than physical health. I worked with experts in reiki, intuitive healing, craniosacral therapy, human design, and meditation. While I benefited from all of these modalities, meditation was the one practice that I felt made the most difference in my life. 

I believe that learning how to connect to the present moment and my new ability to listen to my inner guide was transformative and integral to my healing journey. After dabbling in meditation for a few years, I finally committed to a daily practice and instinctively knew it was something I wanted to share. I trained to be a Meditation Guide so I can share the gifts my practice has given me. 

Whether you have suffered a loss or are just trying to navigate the challenges of life, I believe meditation can improve the quality of your life. There are numerous benefits to a regular meditation practice, but the most common ones are a connection to the present moment, better sleep, more focus, and less distraction. I find that I am not as reactive to the bumps along the road of life, and when I do experience pain, sadness, or disappointment, it doesn’t last as long as it used to. 

I have many different offerings because I want to connect with as many people as possible. My offerings include one-on-one private guided meditations both in person and virtually, group classes, online meditation training, private parties, retreats, and corporate events. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business on your own has its challenges. I don’t have a partner to bounce ideas off of, and there is no guidebook or instruction manual on how to start a meditation business. My biggest struggle has been separating my success from the attendance numbers in my classes. I have to remind myself that whether one person shows up or 10 people show up, I am doing what I am meant to do and can’t measure my success with numbers. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Certified Meditation Guide committed to making meditation accessible to all. Personally, experiencing the transformative and healing power of meditation has made me passionate about sharing this practice with as many individuals as possible. To cater to diverse lifestyles, I have created a range of offerings within my business. 

Twice a week, I conduct in-person group classes where I guide participants through meditation, aiding them in discovering their inner stillness and silence. For a more personalized experience, I provide private and semi-private sessions, available both in-person and virtually. Beyond individual sessions, I organize mindfulness events tailored for sports teams, businesses, and organizations. 

Finally, recognizing the demand for flexibility, I have developed an online meditation course, allowing anyone to cultivate their meditation practice at their convenience. My goal is to create accessibility and inclusivity in the realm of meditation, making its benefits available to all. 

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Receiving messages from my clients expressing how meditation has positively influenced their lives makes me incredibly happy. The knowledge that I played a role in making a positive difference in someone’s life gives me a sense of fulfillment as if I’ve contributed to enhancing their overall well-being.
