Hi Karina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We started out in our garage and what started out as a hobby and a passion enabled us to quit our day jobs and allowed us to let this business be our full-time job which gave us the flexibility to spend more time with our family. Now we have two physical locations: One in South El Monte and North Hollywood. Its been five years and we are still growing, all because for the love of Muay Thai and the support of the community for us.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Having only our life savings to start with, there were a lot of challenges we had to face, and covid 19 was one of the toughest we had to face. We finally had the chance to move out of our garage and into a small office space but when Covid 19 happen, the facility we were renting from had some issues with the city and all of the tenants including us were literally given less than 30 days to move out and find a new spot. With the whole state being shut down and we were suddenly cash strapped, we thought it was the end of the road for us but the muay Thai community pulled through for us. People started ordering via curbside pick up and we were able to find a new place within the 30 days, what was supposed to be our worst yet turned out to be our best year yet and what seemed to be the most challenging time for us became a blessing in disguise.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Covid-19 helped us remember to never give up and that perseverance and resourcefulness are one of the main keys to success. It taught us how to value time more and thinking outside the box brings out one’s most creative ideas and be more resourceful especially when it comes to your livelihood.
