Hi Kacy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a former film producer/film studio CEO who during Covid reinvented herself. I also have twin boys who worked on the hit TV show “Fuller House” for the first five years of their lives. The twins needed headshots each year and most photographers don’t want to work with twins or even singletons under the age of five. So I took their headshots and eventually decided to use my expertise to help others. I work with many talent agencies who now refer me. I specialize primarily with babies/children/teens but work with adults as well.
My name is Kacy Andrews Messitt – the photographer & digital content creator behind Messitt Photography.
I have spent 30 years in the entertainment industry as a Film Producer/Studio Executive turned Momager (Mom & Manager) of the Messitt Twins. My twins Fox and Dashiell @messitttwins starred on the hit Netflix show FULLER HOUSE for five years. They’ve also appeared in commercials and hit shows GREY’S ANATOMY and DANGER FORCE. They continue to act and I have been managing their career, brand, social media presence and of course, taking their headshots for the past six years.
I can relate to what it’s like as a parent of kids trying to make it in showbiz. You want to help set them up for success and I can help you with that.

Currently, I am not limiting myself to industry clients only, so if you or your child is not pursuing a career and you just want beautiful closeup photos of your kids or family… I am here for you too.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest part is getting enough clients to make a living at it. So I decided, for now, to make it a side hustle. I have a full-time job but use the photography business as my creative outlet.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I described most of this already in my story… I’m also very reasonable in pricing and my clients also benefit from my 25+ years in the film/TV industry (and having my children in it). For clients without an agent yet, I can help them find representation as I am connected to many.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
This industry is all about networking to be successful. I recommend to work your network and keeping in touch with people. Widen your circle whenever possible.
