Today we’d like to introduce you to Judith Gaton.
Hi Judith, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started college as a fashion design major and ended up a legal policy studies major with a minor in fashion design. I thought becoming a lawyer would be “easier” than being a fashion designer. I spent 11 years as a litigator before going full-time in my current Style Coaching Business.
It was a full circle moment for me to start my Style Coaching Business because I found my way back to style. I get to work with incredible high-achieving women every day. They get to learn about style & fashion in a loving environment. All of my favorite things and people in one amazing bundle.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been smooth, but I didn’t expect it to be and I think that has made all the difference. I worked full time as a partner in my law firm the same year my business 10x revenue. Time management and giving myself tons of grace were key. And of most important, letting go of perfectionism. When you are tired and have only a set amount of time to work on something every day it is super important to let go of perfection.

Last year we launched Modern Charm School, and it has been such a pleasure to create a community around our four learning pillars: style, wealth, gumption, and legacy. The community has named themselves “The Charming Family.”
Modern Charm School is a private online social club dedicated to high-achieving women who want to learn more about style, generating wealth, leadership, and leaving a legacy.
At The Modern Charm School we believe in updating traditional charm school subjects so that they reflect the hearts, minds, and desires of modern high-achieving women.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Creativity and execution. I have always been very creative and able to take disparate concepts and marry them together. The characteristic I am working on cultivating this year is execution. It is one thing to dream, it is a whole other skill to execute and implement.
