Hi Jessica, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Before entering the beauty industry, I worked in the textile industry with a typical Monday to Friday, 9-5 schedule just like many others. I stayed in this job for 13 years due to the preconceived notion that it was secure and had benefits. However, I eventually became physically and emotionally drained from work and personal issues. That’s when I decided to take a risk and pursue something more fulfilling in life. With the encouragement of my spouse, I was able to make the leap and discover new opportunities beyond the monotony of my previous job.
I was amazed by the stunning appearance of my colleague’s eyelash extensions when they showed up at work. I inquired about the specifics, and I became hooked ever since! Who wouldn’t want to feel like a million bucks and be able to wake up and go with ease?
I formed a strong bond with my lash artist, Jessica. She amazed me with her ability to run her own business as a solo esthetician, without having to answer to any bosses. Witnessing her work inspired me to pursue a similar career path, as I too wanted to empower women and help them feel confident about themselves. Jessica generously guided me through the process of becoming an esthetician, and I consider her a true blessing in my life.
I have been in the industry for six years now and I absolutely love it. Like anything else, there have been a few tweaks here and there, but it has definitely been one of the best decisions I have made for myself.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Although it may be bumpy, I wouldn’t want it any other way. Being in a field surrounded by talented artists can lead to feelings of self-doubt and fear that can be debilitating to one’s self-worth. However, it’s important to remember your core values and strive to be the best version of yourself without comparing yourself to others.

I have worked in the industry for six years and hold a license as an Esthetician in the state of California. I am also certified in my area of expertise, which includes:

I believe that my clients are my walking advertisements, and I always aim to leave a lasting impression.

Staying up-to-date with the latest trends not only keeps me informed but also improves my skills, allowing me to provide my clients with high-quality service, which is of utmost importance to me.
What does success mean to you?
Success may have various interpretations for individuals, but to me, it primarily means continuously striving to enhance oneself. It could be as minor as traveling or as significant as retiring without any financial concerns. I firmly believe that materialistic possessions are insignificant in the broader context of life since they cannot be carried with us after we leave this world.
