Community Highlights: Meet Jess Feldmann of Apothek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jess Feldmann.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been in the medical aesthetics and wellness industry for several years, with positions as Director of Marketing and Director of Operations for multiple practices. I eventually branched out and started my own aesthetics consulting business, and was able to help practices in different states! My absolute dream was having a place of my own, but I didn’t think it was actually obtainable. However, life seemed to have a specific plan for me… and during one of the most uncertain times of my life, Apothek was born.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not! In 2023, my mom, Kat, was diagnosed with stage 4 pseudomyxoma peritonei, a rare form of cancer. She underwent a grueling surgery, including multiple organ resections and an abdominal chemotherapy bath. Following this surgery and chemotherapy, she miraculously entered remission—and today, she proudly holds the label “no evidence of disease.” That journey is what propelled us to start Apothek. She knew that after she passed, whatever day that would be, I would end up with her life savings. So she decided “why wait until I’m gone to see what you can do with the money?” and from there, we started designing Apothek. We poured our entire souls into this space, as it helped us heal during a time of many unknowns.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Apothek offers more than luxury facials, advanced skincare, non-invasive body sculpting, lash and brow artistry, and waxing—it offers an experience rooted in care and empowerment. Designed to feel both elevated and deeply nurturing, every treatment is personalized to help clients feel confident, seen, and restored.

But Apothek’s mission doesn’t stop at beauty.

Motivated by our own journey, my mother and I have made giving back a core part of the Apothek ethos. We offer complimentary and low-cost treatments to women undergoing or recovering from cancer. We work closely with UCI Cancer Center, where my mom was treated. Additionally, Apothek donates supplies to local women’s shelters, and contributes to organizations supporting mental health and veterans.

We believe that achieving real results shouldn’t mean compromising on a luxury experience. After several years of experience in the med-spa and wellness industries, I decided to dive deep into my entrepreneurial roots and open Apothek, where I have put an emphasis on blending my expertise with personal touches. I am dedicated to creating an inclusive space where self-care goes beyond the surface. Passionate about celebrating individuality, I believe that beauty is unique to each person and, I empower clients to embrace what makes them feel confident. Apothek was designed based on a lifetime of being “different” – so I wanted to create a space that felt luxurious, but a little quirky and over the top.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My friends and family deserve all of the credit. For supporting me, crying with me, laughing with me, and being a part in the creation of my story.
