Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was working the pandemic as a hospitalist nurse practitioner and having conversations with family members about the patients dying. It felt so helpless that we didn’t know how to treat Covid, and I realized that I needed a creative outlet for coping with these experiences. I learned how to do injectables and loved the facial anatomy and the artistry of the aesthetics industry, so I decided to start my own business. It has been a journey full of challenges, but it makes me happy to be able to help establish that injectables can be natural and just help us preserve our youth rather than the taboo of exaggerated overfilled faces we see in the media.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I had to learn to be even tougher than I already was as a bedside nurse. Establishing boundaries, educating my patients and demanding respect. Being a business owner pulls you in so many directions that you become a jack of all trades. It can be a very personal experience because you put your heart and soul into it, but I was extremely cautious with my financial investment, and luckily, it has been very fruitful, both financially and creatively.

I offer a full range of Medspa services from filler to Botox and medical-grade skin treatments like peels, microneedling, and RF microneedling. I pride myself in keeping my patients looking like themselves but helping them to preserve their youth without anyone really being able to tell. I’m always looking out for balance when it comes to the use of these tools, and I think my patients appreciate that I’m not just trying to sell them something. I truly care about their goals and the overall harmony of their face and how it can build their self-confidence. I also happen to offer mobile services, which many patients take advantage of. I show up right at your doorstep instead of making you wait in a medspa waiting room! It makes a huge difference to be able to have injectables in the comfort of your own home.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I am constantly following other injectors on social media and YouTube and attending conferences that help me continue to build my skills as an injector. The innovations in this industry are fascinating!
