Today we’d like to introduce you to Diannette.
Hi Diannette, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into staging and interior design began in 2015, when my husband, Kris, and I started flipping homes together. We were drawn to the process of transformation, taking something neglected and breathing new life into it. There was something deeply fulfilling about restoring a space so it could be lived in, enjoyed, and loved again.
I never envisioned myself as a designer or an entrepreneur, but everything changed on New Year’s Eve in 2017. My dad handed me a book on interior design. It was a simple gift, yet it felt like a divine nudge. That book sparked something deep within me. I believe God used that moment to awaken a passion and call me into something greater.
It gave me the courage to step out in faith and pursue what had quietly been stirring inside me, the desire to create spaces that reflect beauty, peace, and intention.
I had the incredible opportunity to stage a pilot show for HGTV called Fearless Fix, hosted by Christian and Jeannette Fuentes. At the time, I had zero industry contacts, going from that to being featured on national television was something I never imagined. Since then, we’ve staged for HGTV’s Flip or Flop and The Flipping El Moussas, and I’ve had the privilege of serving as a design producer for Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa.
These experiences have sharpened my ability to deliver impactful design under tight timelines and high expectations. What once felt impossible has become a powerful testimony of what God can do when we step into our purpose, even when we feel unqualified
It’s been an incredible journey so far and it all started with a leap of faith, a supportive husband and because I had family that believed in me. Their encouragement, trust, and support gave me the confidence to take risks, keep going, and turn a passion into a career I truly love.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I faced several obstacles early on. I had never led a team or run a business before, and diving deeper into the world of staging and design brought its own unique challenges. While I was deeply passionate about design, turning that passion into a profitable business was an entirely different journey.
Learning to stage homes in a variety of styles and work confidently with different color palettes took time, experimentation, and plenty of trial and error. I had to actively grow my design skills and industry knowledge along the way. At the time, I had no formal training, limited contacts, and no clear roadmap for building a successful business.
But what I did have was faith, a supportive husband and family, and a willingness to trust God with the unknown.
Please tell us more about your business or organization. What should we know? What do you do? What do you specialize in? What are you known for? What sets you apart from others? What are you the most proud brand wise? What do you want our readers to know about your brand offerings, services, etc.
My business specializes in both residential and commercial interior design, with a focus on transforming spaces into environments that feel elevated, livable, and deeply intentional. What truly sets us apart is our personalized approach, I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all design. Every project is thoughtfully tailored to reflect the unique character of the home and the people who live or work in it.
One of my longtime clients is Investology, founded by Tony Chahal and Elmer Morales. As respected leaders in the real estate community, they specialize in revitalizing extremely distressed residential properties. It’s an honor to partner with them in reimagining these spaces, transforming neglected homes into beautiful, functional environments, and helping restore a sense of pride and possibility within the surrounding communities.
At the heart of my brand is a passion for transformation, not just of physical spaces, but of the lives, emotions, and opportunities that great design can unlock. Whether it’s a fix-and-flip project or a luxury home reimagined, I bring the same level of care, creativity, and vision to every space. Above all, I want my clients to feel supported, inspired, and excited about what their space can become.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?Don’t wait until you feel ready, because the truth is, you never really do. Be resourceful, stay humble, and give yourself permission to grow as you go. Teach yourself, ask questions, make mistakes, and learn from them. You don’t need to have it all figured out, you just need to step out in faith.
The design world, and business in general, is full of trends and opinions. But what sets you apart is you, your perspective, your story, your style. That’s what people will connect with. Stay teachable, stay grounded, trust the process, and don’t be afraid to let your voice shine through your work. That’s where the real impact lies.
And finally, surround yourself with people who speak life over your dreams, especially when you start to doubt yourself.
