Community Highlights: Meet DIANA SIMS of Sims Taste And See LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to DIANA SIMS

Hi DIANA, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always had a love for good food and spreading the word about local businesses. My husband suggested in July 2022 to start a page since I was always spreading the word of new places to visit and when I put my mind to something, it’s as good as done. I started researching, watching YouTube, purchased gear on Amazon and took online courses on how to capture quality videos. I came up with thr name Taste And See Socal for my love of food and God and thought it wojld be great to captjre one od mh favoeitr verses in the name. My first food review was in Atlanta while visiting the city for the final woman thou art loose conference. The rest is history I wanted to ensure to highlight minority owned food businesses ans as well other small hidden gems. One thing I have maintained is my integrity with respect e edh place visited ans if I personally didn’t like the food. I will not bash a business because thst is there dream, and people go there. It will not be something I promote. Over the past two years I have had several collaborations and had a bigger vision to start a business to create content for the food businesses to allow them to focus on their dreams while still having content for their pages. This is where Sims Taste And See LLC was born.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road was not smooth because the content creation food review market is overly saturated and believe it or not minority food content creators don’t get the shine, offers to collab, or paid options. When you are new , it’s hard to get the word out to promote when you don’t have a big following. Or the places you wanted to support don’t have their indo updated on Google or they are nor open when they say they are or food on the me u is barely available. However, when you have a passion to help others you keep going.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
