Aron, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started ABA Media out of a simple observation: a lot of real estate listings weren’t doing justice to the properties they represented. Homes that could’ve sold quickly were sitting stagnant because the visual content wasn’t compelling enough.

In the early days, I was shooting properties myself — working with a Sony camera, a drone, and a basic editing workflow. What set us apart was speed and precision. I realized agents didn’t just need beautiful images, they needed them fast, reliably, and optimized for platforms like MLS, Zillow, and social media.

From there, we invested in better gear, outsourced editing overseas for 6-12 hour turnarounds, and built a systemized booking and delivery pipeline. Social media — especially Instagram Reels — became a major acquisition channel for us, driving over 40K followers and consistent inbound leads.

Today, ABA Media provides high-quality photo, video, drone, and media packages for realtors, with a focus on homes between $300K–$900K. We prioritize fast turnaround, clear communication, and content that helps listings sell faster.

We’re currently scaling by adding VAs for outreach, leveraging Slack for team management, and refining our systems to maintain speed without sacrificing quality as we expand into new territories.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not. Like any service business, especially in real estate media, it’s a game of speed, client expectation management, and operational stress.

Early on, the biggest struggle was balancing high-volume demand with limited resources. I was handling every shoot, every edit, client calls, bookings, and social media myself. Cash flow was inconsistent — some months booming, others dead.

Outsourcing editing overseas solved a major bottleneck but introduced new problems: quality control issues, miscommunications, and missed deadlines. It forced me to build tighter systems, SOPs, and hire people who could manage operational chaos.

Another challenge was pricing. Raising rates lost clients, but keeping them too low burned out the business. I had to learn how to position ABA Media as a premium, fast-turnaround service worth the higher ticket.

Even now, scaling isn’t easy — training new shooters, integrating VAs for outreach, and keeping service quality airtight takes constant attention.
